3. Event Details
Proposed Event Date: Week commencing 8th April 2023 Dates are flexible during this week, and any two-day combination could be utilised.
There are two proposals covered for the event in the following pages, utilising the Great Hall on Bay Campus and the Richard Price Building and Digital Technium on the Singleton Park Campus. Both are excellent options and could be used depending on budget and availability. The Richard Price Building has a Lecture Theatre with a capacity of 150, and several smaller conference spaces housing 20–40 people per room. In addition to this it has an Atrium space perfect for registration, exhibitor space, and refreshments. The Great Hall houses the Sir Stanley Clarke Auditorium which can hold a maximum of 700 guests and can easily seat over 200 individuals in conference format, with full AV capabilities and support. Both buildings have rooms that can be locked by key card and used to safely store luggage and belongings. We also allocate a room as a designated prayer space should this be required. Free, high-speed WiFi is available across campus - existing users of the Eduroam platform will find their devices connect automatically, or there is a Visitors alternative for all other users. We benefit from having access to a full internal AV Support Team. This means we are able to run fully virtual or hybrid events with no issues. We already have experience of running internal events for international audiences in these formats, which have run without issue. Our support teams have access to a range of audio/visual kit, that allows them to offer a mobile and industry standard service that can be implemented if needed. The team can be booked in advance, allowing us to be totally agile in our offering, depending on the circumstances.
