E ilat is celebrating a significant milestone in its evolution as a premier international resort city with the inauguration of “Complex 42” and the “Isla Brown” hotel. Recognized as one of the most substantial tourism and real estate initiatives undertaken in the southernmost city in recent years, the launch marks a bold new chapter for local development. The prestigious complex is a massive ecosystem comprising nine buildings that house 223 residential apartments, future commercial spaces, and restaurants. At its heart lies the new Isla Brown hotel, boasting 155 rooms designed to offer a fresh standard of hospitality on the Red Sea coast. The festive inauguration ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries and industry leaders, reflecting the project’s national importance. Attendees included the

Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Michael Yitzhakov; the Mayor of Eilat, Eli Lankri; the CEO and owner of the Carel Group, Avi Carel; and the Partner and CEO of Israel Canada Hotels, Reuven Elkes. They were joined by the city’s Chief Rabbis-Rabbi Yosef Hecht and Rabbi Yair Hadaya-alongside representatives from both the Carel Group and the Israel Canada Hotels chain. Held poolside within the stylish new grounds, the event took place near the very spot where the cornerstone was laid in January 2020. Since that day, the project has navigated a remarkably challenging obstacle course, persevering through a severe storm, the global COVID-19 pandemic, and the “Swords of Iron” war. Despite these hurdles, the vision was fully realized, standing today as one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in the city.
