Trois artistes franco-ontariennes ont réuni leur talent en créant une chanson pour célébrer la résilience des femmes à l’occasion de la Journée Internationale de la femme du 8 mars. Depuis plusieurs années, Colibri – Centre des femmes francophones, du comté de Simco, célèbre cette journée du 8 mars avec un concert ou un spectacle destiné à sa clientèle, ses personnes alliées et ses partenaires communautaires, mais cette année, le centre s’adresse à toutes les femmes franco-ontariennes en présentant un vidéoclip de la chanson Comme les roseaux, écrite par Janie Renée, auteure-compositrice- interprètre, de Vankleek Hill. Accompagnée EFT$IJDMFUUFT EF1BUSJDJB$BOPFUEF.JNJ OBonsawin qui unissent leur voix, Janie Renée tentera de séduire son public avec son nouveau vidéoclip. «Je suis une soeur, je suis une femme, je suis labeur et état d’âme, je suis demain, je suis hier, je suis l’avenir de la terre, a SÊDJUÊ/BUIBMJF/BEPO MJOTUJHBUSJDFEVQSPKFU J’avais envie de reprendre cette magnifique chanson de Janie Renée avec des artistes féminines engagées dans leur communauté, préoccupées par le rayonnement de leur culture et soucieuses de la situation de toutes les femmes». Cette année, le thème principal de cette journée est le #RelanceFéministe. Il repré- sente ainsi une invitation à tenir compte de l’impact disproportionné de la pandémie de la COVID-19 sur les femmes, alors que le Canada prépare sa relance sociale et économique. Le thème explique aussi que les femmes ont été les plus profondément touchées par la crise sanitaire et écono- mique, qui s’est traduite en des pertes d’emploi, un manque de garde d’enfants, une augmentation du travail non rémunéré et une montée de la violence familiale envers elles. Comme les roseaux était lancé lundi der- nier sur toutes les plateformes de réseaux sociaux et cherchera à offrir un message d’espoir et de résilience pour les femmes.
Notice of Study Commencement for St-Guillaume Road Intersection and Second Online Public Information Centre Route 300 Intersection Improvements Environmental Assessment Study and Detailed Design
INTRODUCTION Russell Township is conducting two (2) Environmental Assessment (EA) and Preliminary/Detail Design studies for intersection improvements at four (4) intersections along Route 300: a Schedule A+ EA at the intersections of St- Thomas Road for the addition of turn lanes; and a Schedule B EA for intersection improvements at St- Pierre Road, St-Augustin Road and Limoges Road. These EA studies are being conducted in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) 2015 process. In addition, the Township has initiated a Schedule B EA for intersection improvements at a fifth (5th) intersection along Route 300 at St-Guillaume Road. STUDY PROCESS Schedule B EA Study for St-Guillaume Road – Initial Design The St-Guillaume Road Intersection Improvements EA Study is being initiated as a Schedule B EA Study under the MCEA (2015) based on the proposed work and range of anticipated effects. The Study is completing Phases 1 and 2 of the Class EA Process by establishing the need and justification for the project, considering
all reasonable alternatives with acceptable effects on the natural, social and cultural environments, and proactively involving the public. This study has investigated the implementation of intersection control measures including traffic signals or a roundabout. The recommendations are being presented at this second online Public Information Centre (PIC) for public input. At the end of the Study, the process will be documented in a Project File Report for all five (5) intersections. A public notice will be provided advising of the Project File Report completion and the availability for public review. Schedule B EA Study for Limoges Road – Refinements since first PIC The intersection improvements at Limoges Road EA Study were presented at the first online PIC in September 2020. Refinements to the recommendations have been made based on public input. The recommendations are being presented at this second online PIC for additional input and comments. Schedule B EA Study for St-Pierre Road, St-Augustin Road and Schedule A+ EA Study for St-Thomas Road No refinements have been made to the recommended plans for these three (3) intersections. PUBLIC CONSULTATION The Township wishes to ensure that anyone interested in this study has the opportunity to be involved and provide input. At the present time, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Province of Ontario has placed restrictions on public gatherings. As a result, the second PIC is relying on
web-based communications. This PIC will present the Study’s preliminary recommendations and solicit public input. Comments on the information presented can be provided by contacting the Project Managers’ email addresses listed below.
