4 Hi Timber Ridge family! I was recently hired as the new full - time Activity Assistant here in Eureka. My name is Chloe Abner, and I wanted to take a moment to share a little about my journey and how I found my way to this wonderful community. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and graduated from Bishop Amat High School in La Puente. Growing up, cheerleading was a huge part of my life—so much so that it helped me earn a college scholarship to Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida. Moving across the country was a big step, but it gave me the chance to pursue both my passion for cheer and my interest in psychology. After four amazing years, I graduated with my bachelor ’ s degree in psychology and went on to work as a mental health professional, focusing on youth

care. It was rewarding work, but over time, I started to feel a strong pull back home. I missed my family deeply, and as fate would have it, my perfect sister Eliza and her husband David both of whom work here at Timber Ridge—offered me a place to stay with them and their two beautiful boys, Ollie and Sammy. It didn ’ t take long before I fell in love with Eureka and the warmth of the Timber Ridge community. Thanks to the wonderful Kim in Activities, who happened to be looking for someone at just the right time, I was fortunate enough to land a position here. Since day one, every resident and staff member has made me feel so welcomed and appreciated.

Outside of work, I ’ ve stayed connected to my roots in cheerleading and currently coach the local all - star cheer team at Dream Athletics. It ’ s been such a joy helping the next generation of athletes grow in both skill and confidence. And I can ’ t forget to mention my dog, Zeke! He ’ s kind of a mutt a mix of all sorts of breeds but he ’ s my whole world. He ’ s been my constant through every chapter, and I can ’ t imagine life without him. Fun fact about me I love scary movies! Whether it ’ s a classic thriller or a cheesy slasher flick, I ’ m always up for a spooky movie night. Anyway, I truly enjoy coming to work every day. I ’ m so grateful to be a part of Timber Ridge, and if you'll have me, I ’ d love to stick around a while.
