Community partner organizations included: ■ Atlanta Beltline: Atlanta Beltline, a groundbreaking urban redevelopment project, connecting Atlanta through a historic 22-mile corridor. ■ Circles Douglas County : Based on 25 years of working with communities across America, Circles has developed one of the most effective programs to support people out of poverty. Circles also brings together community resources and helps formulate a plan to help reduce a community’s poverty rate by at least 10%. Circles Douglas County was started by First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville after a season of speaking with community leaders to determine how the church could work with the community to meet unmet needs in our county. ■ Circles Troup County: Circles exists to identify and eliminate the causes of poverty and support those wishing to lift themselves out of poverty. We use a relational strategy to support both parents and children moving out of poverty while inspiring and equipping the community to reduce its poverty rate. ■ Food Well Alliance: Since 2015, Food Well Alliance has engaged thousands of people annually around the issues of local food and has provided more than $4 million in direct resources to over 300 farms, gardens, and local food organizations across our 5-county service area ■ MUST Ministries: MUST Ministries mission is to serve our neighbors in need, transforming lives and communities in response to Christ’s call. For 53 years, MUST has been a resource for struggling individuals who are experiencing poverty, homelessness or enduring other hardships. Today MUST’s comprehensive services not only address immediate basic needs for food, shelter, clothing and healthcare, but also provide the resources and training needed for employment and self-sufficiency. ■ North Fulton Community Charities: North Fulton Community Charities’ mission is to help ease hardship and foster financial stability in our community. We deliver services through five key program areas: Assistance Services, SmartChoice Food Pantry, Clothing Choice, Education and Workforce Development, and Seasonal Programs. ■ Sweetwater Mission, Inc: Sweetwater Mission works to stabilize families by preventing hunger and homelessness while transforming Lives through education and employment opportunities since 1968.
