" الحجـاب السـيئ " الاحتجـاج، Abstract: The study discusses the question of hijab in Iran as a topic that surpasses its jurisprudential limits to political and social dimensions, as it has become a part of the political conflict taking place in the country today. The study maintains that this topic cannot be addressed without the inclusion of its historical background, as the first debate regarding hijab goes back 150 years. It aims to delve into the issue of hijab in Iran while taking into account conflicting perspectives between those that believe it is a religious requirement, those that oppose it from the principle of personal freedom, and those that criticise government regulations that they believe harm the image of Islam overall.
