WORK IN THE SHOPS Marion H. Reynolds, Snpt. —Meetings held in shops, factories, ear-barns and fire-engine h ouses'O f Los Angeles.

NSWERING calls from those who are in trouble, not only falls to the lot of doctors, but also to busy Christian work ers, as they go in and out among the people with whom they labor. After being on the go all day and feeling the need of rest, we went home to spend the evening with the family. Soon the telephone rang. It was a call from one of the men in one of the shops, who wanted to know if we wouldn’t go out and bring a word of comfort to a family whose little girl has been burned very severely, and pray be side the Ittle one, that she might be re stored to health. We went, taking a word of comfort to the hearts of the parents and praying for the little child. On the way home, after a little con versation with our friend who had asked us to go, we found that he hadn’t yet decided for Christ. It was God’s op portunity to speak to his soul, and cer tainly He was there, as we sped along

towards the man’s home. Driving up in front of his house, the question was put squarely to him, as we asked him if he wouldn’t take Jesus Christ as his own personal Savior. After a few mo ments, we heard him say in a manly way, “ I will.” As we sat at the desk the following day, taking care of the correspondence, the telephone rang. Answering it, we found it was the man we had spoken to the evening before, and this is what he said, “ Yes, I ain so glad I took Jesus as my personal Saviour last night. It has brought so much joy into my life already.” Is the Shop Work worth while? Ask yourself this question, and if you think it is, then drop us a card and let us put your name on the Shop Prayer Band list. We need your prayers. This, is only one of the many experi ences that come to us, as we seek to do His will.
