THE K I N G ’ S BUS I NE S S (he is fanatical), but instead of talking about that, the student began to deal with her as a sinner. She was asked if she had prayed to God and she said she had, but that He did not hear her. The student pointed her to John 1:12. After reading it, she told her- that God did not hear her because she was not a child of God; she was a sinner and her heart was black. It was explained to her what it was to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Then she was asked what it was necessary for her to do to become a child of God, and she said, “ To receive Christ,” after which both student and sinner went to God in prayer and she accepted Christ as her Saviour and prayed that the Lord would guide her as to her husband. Since then we have learned that the enemy has been in timidating. Please pray for these con verts w,ho have so much to contend with, for the devil uses the priest- and the fanatics to torment them. New Chapel in El .Monte God has blessed us with the opening of our new chapel in El Monte. He has given some new converts and gradually new people are venturing in to our ser vices. We covet your prayers for this work. We have three Sunday School classes organized and we need help to teach these classes as well as the Sun day School in Sherman. Then we are expecting, the Lord willing, to open an other Sunday School. Oh, the need for helpers who can speak Spanish! Who will volunteer to help? Please pray for us.
she moved to a dwelling house outside of. the camp and we continued to visit her as we preached to the men who would gather there. From there she moved again, trying to escape from the ‘men who were pursuing her and we lost trace of her until a few weeks ago when pue of the men who always was at her house, saw me at Sherman and told me that Maria was anxious to see me and was attending a mission on North Main street. He said she was truly converted and gave us her address. We looked her up and found that at last the seed had come to fruition. She was happy in her new-found joy, was separated from all her past temptations and mak ing arrangements to marry the man with whom she is now living. It was my privilege to speak to him and thus bring about a union in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, dear reader, if perchance you have sown the seed (the Word of God) don’t give up, but continue pray ing and if you do not see the results immediately, God will give them to you in due time, if you faint not. A Woman Receives Christ One of our students who is assigned to Spanish work, also relates how God permitted her to sow the seed, though not for some time did she see any re sults. On arriving at the camp one day the daughter of one of the Mexican women came running to her, saying, “ My mamma wants you to-come and talk to her about Jesus,” but on reach ing the home the woman began to say that she was going to leave her husband
