When we find in this hothouse cf narcotics a strong, unselfish woman such as Esther, conquering almost in superable temptations, choosing a course of terrible danger for the saae of her oppressed people, we can echo the admiration of the Jews for their national heroine.—Adeney. Fast ye for me. She undertook the task. She trembles for what may come. Sleep less hours are spent. She risks all at one step and her one dependence is upon Jehovah. What a lesson for all in authority, yes, and for us all!— Cum- ming. 5.1. Esther stood in the inner court. If we have power with God in prayer, we shall find favor with man. Now I am going to tell you a story about a brave boy without giving his name, and if any of you know his BEGINNERS name you may raise AND PRIMARY your hand. A long Mabel 1*. Merrill time ago some heathen people were fighting God’s people. In the army of the heathen people was one man who was very tall, who wore armour and car ried a big sword. Each day this big man would comle out and call to the king of God’s people and ask them to choose a man to fight with him, and dared them to send a man to him.
