Clinical and Administrative Audits

Clinical and administrative audit is recognised as an integral part of continuous quality improvement. North Norfolk Primary Care has an audit schedule which is presented to the Quality & Safety Committee on a monthly basis and reported to the Board annually. Quality improvement is at the heart of the services we deliver, and the audits aid to drive continuous improvements. In order to move forward and strive to further improve clinical audit, in particular, our aim is to support clinicians in the audit process and take ownership of these to improve their own and the team’s clinical service delivery. This, in turn, will improve the quality of patient care.

During 2022/23, the number of clinical and administrative audits which were carried out was 19 (these are in addition to the 25 clinical hub infection control audits, mentioned previously).
