Staff Experience Survey – Clinical and Non-Clinical staff

i)

Non-Clinical Staff Survey

The survey was sent to 40 members of staff who all have non-clinical roles within our organisation. The clinical staff had the opportunity to provide feedback in a separate survey aimed at clinicians.

We received 22 replies which represents a 55% response rate, so we recognise that the results do not represent everyone’s views.

We asked for responses in 6 main areas.

Your job,

• Your team and the people in our organisation, • Your managers, • Your health, well-being and safety at work, • Your personal development and • Our organisation.

We also asked the staff to describe the culture of our organisation using 3 words and asked if there was one thing which they could change what one thing about the organisation what that might be. Finally, we gave them opportunity to say anything else about working at NNPC.

Questions about their job

Between 68% and 58% of the staff either strongly agreed or agreed that they looked forward to going to work, they are happy with their work and time passes quickly when they are working. In terms of their role, between 60% and 76% of them felt that their role was valued, and they felt supported in their role.

However, only 40% of them felt that they could make improvements happen. Just under half of them were satisfied with their pay.

We are always happy to receive ideas for improvements and many of them take part in team meetings where their contribution to quality and safety is important. With regards to pay, we balance our wish to reward the staff well with our budget responsibilities and each year provide a pay rise within the sensible means of the company.

Questions about their team and the people in our Organisation

Asking about the frequency of their team meetings to discuss effectiveness and solve problems, just over half of them agreed this happened but nearly 45% of them reported that this did not happen. Just over half of them felt that disagreements are dealt with constructively.
