The three (3)-session course, led by a neurologist and culinary medicine specialist, explores how what we eat every day contributes to the health of our body and the function of our brain. In the first session, we will learn how the Standard American Diet contributes to many diseases and learn how making a few key changes in our diet can help slow or prevent diseases including dementia. In the second session, we will explore in more detail, the causes of dementia and examine how specific foods can slow or prevent dementia. In the third session, we will explore the secrets of longevity and brain health from different cultures around the world and learn how lifestyle factors, in addition to diet, can help slow or prevent dementia.
