This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Viola x wittrockiana Delta ® series and we are proud to introduce Delta ® Orange Improved. This colour is one of our most significant new introductions and fits perfectly into the Delta ® series, giving the same level of programmability, earliness and bright colouring as the rest of the range. Pansy Delta ® means easy care in your greenhouse, a long shelf life at retail and a mass of colour in the garden. The unmatched reputation of our large flowered Pansy Delta ® continues to deliver the best results for both autumn and spring production. It is the perfect solution if you are looking for a series with a short production cycle, that fills the pot or pack easily, with minimal PGR requirements. Delta ® offers the highest level of uniformity, across a wide colour range and has been the strongest brand in Pansy for 25 years. However, we don’t stand still, over the last 8 years 50% of the colours within the Delta ® series have been replaced by improved genetics. This work continues as we constantly strive to upgrading colours in the series to keep Delta ® in perfect shape.
Did you know the Endurio ® Sky Blue Martien is named after the original breeder of the Delta ® and Endurio ® series, Martien Gutter? His breeding program resulted in the launch of the Delta ® series exactly 25 years ago. We are grateful to Martien and his successors Robbie and Todd for this fantastic series and continuous improvements they have brought us over the last 25 years, so we can say Syngenta Flowers is and will remain the leading producer of Pansy & Viola. In Primula we are happy to announce exclusivity of supply of Mitra Late series. Mitra Late is a compact series that can be grown without PGR. It flowers uniformly in March with medium-sized flowers. The standard Mitra series is ideal for sales in January and February and can also be grown without PGR, making production more simple. It is our goal to provide you with the best genetics and young plants now and in the future. This means that we must constantly look for new improved varieties and production methods. In this way we hope to serve you not only for the coming season but for many years to come.
