Jeanie has a Diploma in Dental Hygiene, awarded by the University of Alberta, Canada, and

furthered her education at the University of Calgary in Applied Science. Following her work in clinical practice and teaching in Canada, she worked in Department of Periodontology at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Over the past 15 years, Jeanie has been involved in patient care, teaching and the conduct of clinical research at UCL Eastman Dental Institute in various areas of periodontology. After being awarded an MSc Degree from the University of Oxford in Evidence Based Healthcare in 2004, she went on to complete a PhD in Clinical Dentistry at UCL investigating the association between obesity and periodontitis.
