Life is Better With Friends, Especially our ORPS FMCA Friends
Congratulations FMCA 30 Years at ORPS WELCOME BACK TO THE DESERT! At this writing we already have had a great Pot Luck dinner attended by 96 friends including 13 new members. Many thanks to Kris Olsen and the usual cast of chefs for hosting a nice evening. WHO CAN JOIN ORPS FMCA? Both U.S. and Canadian residences are eligible to join FMCA . You will find our local chapter membership applications in both Clubhouses in our wall displays. Please sign up first at www.fmca.com to get your national FMCA ID number. FMCA National membership is open to all RVers, who own Motorhomes, 5th Wheels, Travel Trailers, Vans or Truck Campers , as well as commercial businesses that support the RV world. ORPS Chapter FMCA Annual dues are $25 per year and a $12 badge for each new member. Another local benefit is a discount price on RV Black and Grey Tank clean - out. Thanks to McLane and Ava Felt for being our National Representative to the FMCA Annual Board Meeting in Gillette, WY this summer. It was much appreciated. On a another note, thanks to Vicki Hilmer for stepping up to the plate once again until we can elect a new Treasurer. FMCA ORPS will host “ Senior Wishes ”, our annual charitable fundraiser for needy seniors in Cathedral City. See dates on the calendar summary. If you miss playing one of Santa ’ s Elves, volunteer with Sue Strauss, Lot 632, or Cynthia Rose, Lot 864. For the new 2023 - 2024 season. We will do a few road trips. We will have our weekend “ on - site ” Rally including seminars, pot - luck, golf and pickleball tournament, the Food and Wine Pairing dinner and so much more. Without volunteers none of this would happen. Thanks to the Committee heads and Officers who spearhead the activities, especially President Kris and First Lady Sue Olsen, doing yeoman ’ s jobs at the helm.
