complained to anyone. He loved to have a fun game of tennis with his Dear wife Sue, or with his buddies on Thursday ’ s, and had many laughs with his tennis friends on Sunday mornings. Bob was also a good guy to go play with the 3T ’ s ladies, if they were in need. Bob and Sue loved to golf too. They played in many Tuesday scrambles. Bob was the best friend any of us could ask for. He will be missed. We are so fortunate to have great tennis courts to play on. There is a group of volunteers that spend a considerable amount of time keeping them maintained. They are called the Court Adopters: • Court A — Katie Lind/Roger Lawson • Court B — Chris and Brian Farrell • Court C — Larry Carletta • Court D — Mark Appel • Court E — Bud Krahn • Court F — Bill Grannary

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! It ’ s so fabulous to see all our friends and neighbors again. Getting to spend time with them on the tennis court is extra fun. Fritters and Fun! A lot of fun was had at our first tennis event of the season. We had 40 players at all levels of tennis come out for a fun game of Triples where we played tennis with a twist. Playing with low compression balls and 3 players on each side of the court, there was a lot of laughing going on. Following Triples, players snacked on Fritters while we had our first tennis meeting, after which names were drawn and 12 players won $6 each. The next Fritters and Fun will be held on Saturday, December 2. A special thanks to Karen Forsberg, who is the Tennis Committee member responsible for this event each month. The November Mixer was held on the 18th. As the cutoff date for the Oracle is the 15th, I will report on that event next month. Due to the holidays, our next Mixer is not until January 20, and will be hosted by Kim and Bud Krahn. Our new Tennis Committee Chair — Robin Polson

She has played in the Desert League for 12 years, and became captain of the team 6 years ago. Last year that 3.5 ladies team placed 3rd out of 13 teams. Robin has served on the Bingo, Tennis, and Big Star Night committees while at ORPS. She also enjoys playing golf, pickleball and taking her dog Rosie to the dog park. Thanks Robin, for your leadership on the Tennis Committee!

Bob away peacefully, Sunday, July 9th, leaving a broken hearted wife Sue. Bob and Sue have enjoyed many years in the Desert. First at Emerald Desert, and then they were part of a crew of happy RVer ’ s that moved to Doty passed

ORPS. Bob was very involved in our tennis community. He held various Tennis Committee positions, his last being Court Maintenance, where he went above and beyond to keep the courts spic and span. He was also a great fan/supporter of our league teams. Bob was a very strong man who never
