ASTROLOGICAL INSIGHTS
Maybe your next therapist shouldn’t be a therapist

feel the undercurrent of energy for the next several years… until Feb- ruary 28, 2032, to be specific, more than five years from now. That’s when Neptune retrograde forms a sextile to Pluto and they join the cosmic party. Both planets represent the need to move slowly so you understand the psychological aspects of changes in your life. You feel as if you have a shadow either attached to your shoulder or following you around. Yet, when you turn around to view it, you don’t see it. If you move too quickly, you miss the clues that bring greater understanding into your life. Because this dance involves Neptune and Pluto you’ll experience life in a transforming manner. If things become emotional for you, you’ll realize it’s important to find others who understand your feel - ings. You may turn to therapy or to spiritual organizations. Either way, you need to find meaning… and you need to understand that meaning and incorporate it into your life. It helps that this energy is in effect for more than five years because you’ll be able to move slowly as you gain deeper understanding. The last two eclipses of the year occur in August: a total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, and a partial lunar eclipse on August 27, 2026. Here in the DMV, you’ll be able to see a partial solar eclipse as well as the partial lunar eclipse. Please remember: When viewing any type of solar eclipse it is critical to wear protective eye gear during the time of the eclipse. When a solar eclipse occurs, especially a total solar eclipse, it’s im - portant to pull back before taking any actions, even with this eclipse occurring with both the Sun and Moon in Leo. You’ll realize what mo - tivates you to action and what inspires you. You’ll also realize that un - derstanding the consequences of your actions will help you determine which risks, if any, are worth taking. During the time of a lunar eclipse you want to understand your emo - tional needs. With the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces at the time of this lunar eclipse, it’s critical to take care of your emotional health, even if it means avoiding negative information. This is a good time to discuss your feelings with people you trust and realize those feelings are valid. Also, by focusing on your daily routine you’ll be able to put guardrails in place that improve your mental health. Think of it as cre- ating a dance from the structure you need to live your life. The dance you experience during this summer quarter will help you incorporate all the changes going on in the world in a way that brings deeper understanding. Whether you decide to partner in this dance with others, or feel the rhythm for yourself, this movement will help you make sense of the world. Eric Weinstein It’s Not Therapy (It’s Problem Solving)
Did you know that: • Licensed therapists are limited to certain approaches by “standards of care” that leave out a number of highly effective healing and personal growth modalities? • Even if you’re paying out-of-pocket for your sessions, your therapist might be unable to use anything “different” because of insurance company requirements and state regulations? I’m not a therapist, but I always have a therapist or two among my clients. They come to me for: • the most ancient healing modality (shamanic healing) • proven, but less conventional modalities (hypnosis/ NLP [Neurolinguistic Programming] and Eye Movement Integration [similar to EMDR, but gentler]) • the most exciting new energy modalities (Energy Psychology, such as EFT or “tapping” on meridian points, biofield work, and chakra manipulation) • Voice dialogue (which one therapist referred to as “Internal Family Systems on steroids”) • intriguing coaching modalities (including True Purpose coaching and parts work) And they come for all the same problems they might see a conventional therapist for – as well as problems and questions of a spiritual/energetic nature. So, whether you’ve gotten what you can from talk therapy, want action-oriented approaches, or want a holistic body/ mind/spirit approach, why wait to find out how your life can be better?
