cal. It dictates how we orient ourselves to life, mystery, and meaning: how we speak and act, and the choices we make. It is often revealed in small, observable ways: tone of voice, presence, how we listen, and how we handle what matters. Committing to approach nature with humility and to protect it, is a demonstration of our reverence. Frequently, wonder is the doorway that keeps perception fresh. Awe deepens the experience and arises when something feels vast, power- ful, or beyond our usual frame of reference — whether a star-filled sky, a profound insight, or an act of moral courage. Reverence teaches us how to live within it. Acceptance and Activation Are you ready to commit to the challenge? To embrace wonder, awe and reverence as a way of life, embodied as a spiritual practice? If so, start today! Make the shift! Step One: Release old habits and routines. Default doesn’t serve. Discard complacency and numbing old patterns. Step Two: Awaken to the awesomeness of Life! Come alive with wonder, awe and reverence! Step Three: Consciously enliven your curiosity! Activate your multiple sensing systems. Be keenly alert to your external and internal environment. Here are several elements I encourage you to apply. Use them all in whatever order works for you They will heighten your spiritual prac- tice, and the benefits of participating whole-heartedly are life-altering. BE CURIOUS… • INQUIRE – when and how is (or is not) human intervention bene - fiting the overall; how are interdependence and balance being demon - strated. • INVESTIGATE - what sorts of relationships exist, how co-exis - tence is being experienced. • LEARN – all life is inseparably intertwined, interrelated and in - terdependent and it communicates, like trees sharing nutrients inten- tionally and sending warnings about perils. • MARVEL – at the creativity of nature; phytoplankton in the oceans produce more oxygen than all the trees on all the land areas. • APPRECIATE – the intricacies, complexities and complements of all the living systems and inert matter on our planet; we are supported by them. • EMBRACE – we are called to lean into our individual responsibili - ty to do our part to protect the gifts we have been given. • AVOID COMPLACENCY – commit to never take grandeur for granted; it is the Creator’s gift to us. • BE A BENEFICIAL PRESENCE - be a “Stand!”, a good steward; recycle, reuse, repurpose, and share. The challenge, if you are willing to take it, is to live and move and have your being in a constant state of wonder, awe and reverence. Remember… “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” I promise how you look at your world will have changed. II’d give a money back guarantee, but since it’s absolute - ly free to all who are willing to play full-out in a grand experiment, • NOTICE – what is going on around you. • OBSERVE – not just passing glances, really observe.
