Coherence is not a theoretical concept. It reflects measurable regu - lation. Disease, Entropy and Aging If coherence is regulation, then disease begins as subtle dysregula- tion. It rarely appears suddenly; instead, it progresses through iden- tifiable stages:
Early stage:
● Sleep disruption ● Mood instability ● Digestive irregularity ● Subclinical inflammation ● Hormonal imbalance ● Autoimmune activation ● Metabolic dysfunction ● Cardiovascular strain

Late stage:
● Structural breakdown ● Organ failure ● Cognitive decline
Across these stages the body gradually loses signal precision, feed - back accuracy, energy efficiency and adaptive flexibility. In systems terms, this means entropy increases. Entropy is the natural drift toward disorder. Aging reflects this pro - cess, but it is not simply the passage of time. It is the gradual failure to maintain internal coherence. This includes: mitochondrial oxidative stress; telomeres shortening on chromosomes; weakening stem cell signaling; and fragmented Circadian rhythms. But here is a key insight: Aging does not occur at the same rate in everyone. The ability to maintain coherence varies. This is why indi- vidualized treatment strategies are essential for optimal outcomes. What Preserves and Supports Coherent Organiza- tion? Research increasingly identifies five core pillars that support coher - ence: 1. Autonomic Balance — Chronic sympathetic dominance accel- erates aging; parasympathetic regulation supports repair. 2. Metabolic Stability — This consists of stable glucose, insulin sensitivity, and mitochondrial efficiency. 3. Low Chronic Inflammation — So-called “inflammaging” is a major driver of decline. 4. Restorative Sleep — Sleep is a nightly reset for coherence. 5. Circulatory & Connective Tissue Integrity — Oxygen and signal delivery determine repair capacity. A coherent body is not achieved by a single intervention. It requires layered support, for which there are several interventions available.
