Tierpoint to Open Second Baltimore-Area Data Center Near BWI

St. John Properties Attracts EDCO and Royal Farms to Riverside Technology Park in Frederick, MD St. John Properties, Inc. has signed new leases with two companies within Riverside Technology Park, a 44-acre business community located in Frederick, Maryland. Equipment Development Company (EDCO), a local company engaged in the concrete and construction industries, has leased 29,280 square feet of space within 8430 Spires Way, and Royal Farms has leased a pad site to construct a 5,371-square-foot full-service convenience store and fuel station. Founded more than 55 years ago and headquartered in Frederick, EDCO manufactures and sells a complete line of equipment that is utilized for surface preparation, floor grinding and concrete removal including vacuum systems, scalers and industrial grinders. “Attracting EDCO represents a significant win for Riverside Technology Park given the size of the lease, combined with the company’s pedigree as among the most well-respected and stable corporations in the Frederick region,” explained Regional Partner for St. John Properties Matthew Holbrook. TierPoint LLC plans to open a second Baltimore-area data center, piggybacking off an expansion last year of a facility near M&T Bank Stadium. The new 35,000-square-foot data center will be located at the BWI Technology

Park, a 97-acre project developed by St. John Properties off Interstate 295 and Nursery Road. St. Louis-based TierPoint plans to invest $10 million into the project. The data center is expected to open in spring 2018.

Michael’s Café Chooses Greenleigh at Crossroads for Site of Second Restaurant Location

Michael’s Café, a 33-year-old family business that has operated a single location on York Road in Timonium since 1984, has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 6,024 square feet of space within Greenleigh at Crossroads, the next development phase of Baltimore Crossroads. Michael’s Café will establish its second restaurant at 720 Concourse Circle, a standalone retail building adjacent to various restaurants and consumer service tenants. Retail tenants currently open at Greenleigh at Crossroads include

Zesto Pizza and Grill; Dunkin’ Donuts; Royal Farms; Subway; Mallia Salon & Spa; Polishes Nail & Spa; Crossroads Beer, Wine & Spirits; and The Fitness Rave. “Michael’s Café adds an important sit- down restaurant component to the retail mix at Greenleigh at Crossroads, which will be particularly conducive to local businesspeople,” explained Vice President, Retail Leasing for St. John Properties Bill Holzman.
