BRIGHTLANDS McLAREN VALE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

The best of Angove McLaren Vale.

The historic Brightlands Cellar, in the foothills to the north-east of Adelaide, was constructed in 1875 and holds a significant place as one of the pioneering winemaking establishments in South Australia. Dr. WT Angove embarked on experimental winemaking between 1886 and 1893, ultimately finding a permanent home at Brightlands Cellars for his inaugural commercial vintage in 1893. It was within the walls of this iconic building that our family’s wine journey began. Little did Dr. Angove realise that his winemaking endeavours at Bright- lands would lay the foundation for over a century of winemaking tradition, establishing one of South Australia’s oldest family-owned and operated wineries. The creation of Brightlands Shiraz serves as a tribute to this renowned location. The inaugural Brightlands Shiraz release is a wine of elegance, grace and power. Meticulously blended from the finest single barrel from each of the family’s two distinct McLaren Vale vineyards. Aromas of plum and for- est fruits with spice and a floral note. The palate opens up with incredible balance and notes of cedar wood, and dark red fruits.

THE MEDHYK McLAREN VALE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

SINGLE VINEYARD McLAREN VALE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Estate grown and Single Vineyard.

The heart of Angove McLaren Vale.

“Medhyk” is the ancient Cornish word for ‘doctor’. This wine is named in honour of Angove founder Dr W. T. Angove, who made the journey from Cornwall to South Australia in 1886. Made in extremely limited quanti- ties, no wine better celebrates the hard work and good fortune that has brought the Angove family to McLaren Vale. The winemaking philosophy behind The Medhyk is uncompromising Mc- Laren Vale quality and character. This begins with exceptional vineyard sites and meticulous fruit selection. The handpicked fruit is sorted and destemmed into half tonne bins. After fermentation each parcel is basket pressed and matured in 100% French oak for up to 18 months. The assemblage is rigorous to ensure only the finest barrels make the final blend.

Dr William Thomas Angove established Angove Family Winemakers in 1886; however his first significant grape harvest was in 1893. The grapes for this harvest came from his own unnamed home block in the foothills of Adelaide at Tea Tree Gully, and a vineyard called Warboys a few hundred metres down the road from his residence. To bring some of the Angove history to our McLaren Vale vineyard on Chalk Hill Road we named it the Warboys Vineyard. This vineyard is plant- ed to 40 to 80+ year old vines of predominantly Shiraz and Grenache and is certified organic and biodynamic. In 2018 the Angove Family expanded their vineyard holdings in McLaren Vale with the acquisition of the stunning Angel Gully Vineyard in McLaren Vale sub region of Clarendon. The vineyard was immediately re-named ‘Angels Rise’ keeping a link to its past whilst utilising an apt description of the beauty of its soil, site and potential. The 12.7 Hectare vineyard sit’s high above the small town of Clarendon with an elevation of over 280m above sea level, is mostly dry grown, planted predominately to Shiraz and has a history of producing wines of finesse and elegance. The Warboys and Angels Rise single vineyard wines are only made in the best years and are a true reflection of the terroir, encompassing the uniqueness of soil, site and season.

WILD OLIVE ORGANIC McLAREN VALE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

FAMILY CREST McLAREN VALE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

100% Organic, 100% McLaren Vale, 100% Delicious.

The craft of Angove McLaren Vale.

Olive groves are planted throughout McLaren Vale’s rolling hills and stunning vineyards. It is inevitable in this idyllic Mediterranean climate that many escape their confines and find places to grow wild and free along the banks of the many winter creeks that run through the region, without restraint and with minimal inputs from man. The Angove family follows minimal intervention, certified organic viticulture and winemaking in McLaren Vale and it is from this philosophy that the Wild Olive range was born. The wines in the Wild Olive range are lively, aromatic and vibrant. A Shiraz that has fresh berry flavours with a lush smooth palate, a fantastically crisp and clean Chardonnay with exceptional varietal characters and a hint of oak, a rosé and single vineyard Fiano.

A modern take on traditional winemaking techniques and classic varietals. A stunning tribute to where they have come from, as well as where they are going. The Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre are sourced from Angove Vineyards and those of long term growers in McLaren Vale. The Pinot Gris is sourced from the family’s Angels Rise Vineyard on the cool hills above the hamlet of Clarendon and a single vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, whilst the Tempranillo is from a vineyard on the outskirts of Willunga. The Grenache is sourced from a single vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale. Meticulously handcrafted in the small-batch winery at the 114 year old Angove facility, these wines display the versatility of McLaren Vale’s Mediterranean climate. True, honest varietal characters exude from every glass of these fantastic, food friendly premium wines.

LONG ROW SOUTH AUSTRALIA

BASILEUS BAROSSA & CLARE VALLEY, SA

The quality and value you long for.

The king of kings.

Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, the Long Row range of wines are made to be easy drinking, distinctly varietal wines that are excellent quality and value for money. The extensive range means that there is a wine to suit every occasion or food pairing. They are wines for a special lunch with family on a Sunday afternoon, or wines to be shared with your partner over a simple meal at home after work. These are special times and in our busy lives, they don’t happen as much as we would like. They are times to catch our breath,

Basileus is a Greek term that has signified various types of Monarchs throughout history. In the English speaking world, it has most widely been understood to mean ‘King’. The Barossa is the King of red wine regions in Australia. To celebrate this, we have sourced small parcels of grapes from selected growers in the Barossa and Clare Valleys and handcrafted them into wines that reflect this name in our small batch winery. Predominantly from a single vineyard in the Stonewell area blended with smaller parcels from Bethany in the south and Angaston to the east, Basileus Shiraz & Grenache really are a taste of the best of the Barossa. Basileus Riesling is sourced from a single vineyard in the renowned Clare Valley, home to Australia’s most distinctive wines for this challenging variety.

share our experiences and enjoy the company of those important to us.

LAMBROOK ADELAIDE HILLS, SA

HOLLICK COONAWARRA, SA

Celebrating the pristine environment of the Adelaide Hills.

Reflecting the true characteristics of these unique vineyards.

Lambrook began in 2008 with two small parcels of Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc and a half-crazy idea of making it into their own label wine. It was something Adam and Brooke Lampit had always dreamed of and Lambrook was born. Lambrook wine is about craftsmanship, friendship, family, love, passion and bringing out the best of the Adelaide Hills. Each grape variety comes from a small parcel of fruit, specifically selected for optimum growing potential. Most of the grapes are hand-picked and use traditional methods like hand plunging and open fermentation. From the fruit to bottling to delivery (from pallet to palate), Lambrook wines are 100% Adelaide Hills. The region produces some of the best cool climate wines in the world – something the rest of the world is just beginning to acknowledge. The Lambrook labelling reflects their connection to the Adelaide Hills – The Seeds, The Plants and The Flowers are all native to the area. They represent their growth as a company as well as defining their wine selection.

Established in 1983, Hollick is a boutique winery located on the famed terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, South Australia. A strong suite of Cabernet Sauvignon and blends, with Shiraz, and Sauvignon Blanc completing the range. Minimal intervention winemaking and sustainable viticultural practices place Hollick in a leadership group amongst its peers in Coonawarra and the rest of the industry.

LOST FARM TAMAR VALLEY, TAS

ROCHFORD YARRA VALLEY, VIC

A winemaking project, 45 years in the making.

Award winning wines from the heart of the Yarra Valley.

Richard Angove has grown up in a winemaking family. Since 1886, five generations of his family have worked in winemaking and grape growing. Five years before he was born, in 1974, the South Australian Land Commission compulsorily acquired the Angove family farm, planted to their best vines, in the small township of Tea Tree Gully, near Adelaide, South Australia. Richard’s grandfather, Tom, fought the ruling all the way to South Australia’s Supreme Court with no success. With the stroke of a pen, their family farm was lost. In 2008 he worked harvest in the beautiful Tamar Valley in northern Tasmania and fell in love with the landscape, vineyards and flavours of the wines. Many years later when the opportunity arose to work with a number of special growers to create a range of small batch wines he could not resist the opportunity, and so Lost Farm Wines was born, recalling some of the heritage of the original family farm in its name. Lost Farm Wines is about discovery and potential. Working with the talented growers and the exceptional vineyard sites, aiming to realise the potential in the wines we make from them.

Rochford Wines originated with owner and CEO Helmut Konecsny in the Macedon Ranges in the late 90’s before moving to the Yarra Valley in 2002 when the opportunity to purchase a well-established 13-hectare Yarra Valley vineyard on Hill Road, Coldstream caught his attention. With its old vine plantings (established in 1992), the potential to develop the property into some- thing truly special was immediately apparent and so, Rochford Wines of the Yarra Valley was born. Along with producing highly rated and awarded wines from four vineyard sites, Rochford encompasses two restaurants, a weddings and functions venue and a huge 12,000 capacity outdoor con- cert amphitheatre. The dreams Helmut had for Rochford are being realised; a place that captivates the senses and provides memorable experiences for all who visit. The wines from Rochford reflect passion and creativity with grapes grown sustainably on four diverse vineyards in the region. Our wines capture the essence of each season and celebrate the diverse microclimates found in the Yarra Valley.

The land of this estate stands out for the presence of a particular calcareous stone, known as “Il Giallo di Siena”. The authenticity of the wines underlines their home territory and the various microclimates that give Sangiovese both character and distinctiveness. Every Bindi Sergardi wine has a strong identity and also a story to tell through its label; each of them has a precise meaning and expresses thanks to the places and to the people who contributed to making Bindi Sergardi as it is today.

CHATEAU JEAN FAUX BORDEAUX, FRANCE

CHAMPAGNE DUVAL-LEROY CHAMPAGNE, FRANCE

Organic and Biodynamic Bordeaux brilliance.

Family owned since 1859 - Inspired by passion, not fashion.

The village of Sainte Radegonde is situated on the southern bank of the Dordogne river, on slopes facing Saint Emilion and Castillon. On the right bank of the stream that flows down from Sainte Radegonde, the stately manor house stands in moderate proportion and sober style. The park, cave, ponds, gardens and orangery give the estate a bucolic charm. In the same family for many years, the estate originally stretched over 100 hectares of which 30 were planted with vines. The Féret guide of 1886, notes that, “Ch.-de-JeanFaux” is the first local proprietor with a production of “120 tonneaux de rouge”. The organically certified vineyard covers over 12 hectares and is planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. There are also 2 hectares of white varieties planted with 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sèmillon. The average annual production is about 4500 cases. Stéphane Derenoncourt has been the estate consultant since 2003. Under his guidance, the estate follows vinicultural practices based on a “hands-on” observation and respect for nature. The grape picking is done plot by plot with a painstaking sorting of the berries, fermentation in small stainless steel or concrete tanks, malo- lactic fermentation and ageing in oak barrels. Simple hard work is more important than technology and the certified organic wine reflects the terrior perfectly.

A sixth generation family business and a French institution, Champagne Duval-Leroy has dedicated itself to the noble craft of champagne-making since 1859 in Vertus, a village in the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne. Champagne Duval-Leroy has always been driven by a quest for high standards and innovation in every aspect of the business, from quality, consistency and certification through to partnerships with sommeliers and chefs. Following in the footsteps of Carol, their “Femme de Champagne”, her three sons Julien, Charles and Louis have now come on board to perpetuate the house spirit. Four individuals now forming an unwavering team, a melodious union that will guarantee collective excellence, a new commitment realised through promises and actions. Together, they produce champagnes that are the essence of finesse, lightness and elegance, champagnes that speak right to the heart of professionals and consumers alike. Champagnes that not only respect the terroir but exalt it. Champagnes that champion the French tradition of creativity whilst looking to the future with the next generation of passionate gourmets leading the world of gastronomy.

At Cuvee Dissenay, we believe that wine is more than just a drink – it’s an experience that we can’t wait to share with you.

Charles Pelletier Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc de Blancs and Rosé are crafted by Maison Veuve Ambal which was founded in the heart of the Burgundy wine-growing region in 1898 by Marie Ambal, the wife of a Parisian banker. After his death she returned to her native village of Rully, where her brother, an owner and merchant of Burgundy wines, still lived. Rully is an area in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Burgundy in eastern France. It is known for its red and white wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and fine delicate sparkling wines. The elegance of these sparkling wines is the result of over a century of family dedication and commitment. For a Méthode Traditionnelle, the natural sparkling process takes place in the bottle and the wine ages for a minimum of 9 months on yeast lees. It is during this period of time that the wine will gain in complexity and the fine bubbles are created.

Dedication to the natural expression of Argentina.

Devoción Argentinian Organic Malbec is led by Juan Pablo Murgia and sourced from a fully certified organic vineyard located in the Mendoza subregion Altamira, Argentina. Altamira is at the southern tail of the Uco Valley and has long been important to some of Mendoza's most prestigious producers who craft it into vibrant, intense wines with dark fruit and floral characters. Fermentation occurred in stainless steel at 25-28°C for 7 days. 30% of the wine is aged in foudres and 500-litre French oak barrels for 9 months. Devoción Malbec shows off a deep purple and saturated colour. The nose immediately calls out all the famous Malbec aromas you wish for, and then some – including black cherry liqueur, dark plum sauce, blueberry, fresh leather, minerals, and violets. Even more, there’s a cool breeze of eucalyptus, spearmint, and baking spices all rolled in. The flavour echoes the aromas but also presents a blast of blackberries, blueberry compote, dark cherries, vanilla, chocolate pudding, herbs, wet stones, flint, and finishes with a huge ball of black, blue, and red fruits. The finish is pleasantly soft, long, and very satisfying. As complex as all that sounds, this wine is both serious and seriously fun to drink too.

ESTANDON PROVENCE, FRANCE

GENIO Y FIGURA RÍAS BAIXAS DO, SPAIN

Premium Rosé from the idyllic Mediterranean coast.

Authentic, Artisanal and Atlantic wines from the heart of the Rías Baixas.

Among the most popular Provence wines for many decades, Estandon is a dry graceful rosé from the beautiful countryside between Cannes and Marseille in the south of France. The warm, dry days are moderated by the cooling influence of the Mediterranean Sea and the “Mistral” - the wind that sweeps down over the region from the Southern Rhône, providing the perfect environment to make and enjoy premium rosé. Estandon is one of the most significant winemakers in Provence and supports over 300 individual small growers farming an area of 2000 hectares, much of which is certified organic. With such an unparalleled selection of vineyards and cuvées, Estandon is able to provide remarkable consistency in style and flavour. Estandon Heritage Rosé is crafted from Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah and is a pale pink grapefruit colour. Effusively fresh, fruity and quite dry. If you give it some contemplation, it rewards you with some complexity. This is a wine ideally suited to spring and summer drinking. Aromatic and refreshing, it works perfectly on its own and with a variety of Mediterranean produce.

Located in the heart of the Val do Salnés, ATTIS wines is in a privileged setting that brings life to our vineyards. The essence of our wine: authentic, artisanal and Atlantic, stems from the environment that we work in, as well as the traditions and expertise that have been passed down through three generations. Founded by the Fariña family, brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, together with their father and with the support of Jean François Hebrard are the driving force behind Genio Y Figura. Staying true to our philosophy of making great ATLANTIC wines, we show great respect for both our autochthonous products and our traditional values throughout the wine-making process.

HERACLIO ALFARO RIOJA, SPAIN

JOEL GOTT CALIFORNIA, USA

Pioneering winemaking rooted in aviation heritage.

Continues to have a cult like following.

Compañía de Vinos Heraclio Alfaro is a winery located near the village of Alfaro in La Rioja, Spain. Named after Heraclio Alfaro Fournier, a pioneering Spanish aviator and aircraft designer, the winery sits on the historic Estarijo estate spanning 100 hectares. Currently, 30 hectares are dedicated to vineyards, while twelve hectares are planted with Arbequina olive trees, and the remaining land is covered by fruit trees. The vineyards were established in the 1970s and feature deep loam soils with abundant pebbles, offering moderate fertility and controlled vine growth. Tempranillo and Graciano grapes dominate the vineyard, with a smaller quantity of Mazuelo variety. The region experiences an average rainfall of 400 mm and has an average temperature of 13.6ºC. The winery, constructed on former aircraft hangars, boasts advanced technology and tools for crafting distinctive wines. Notable features include a grape washer and sorter, a gravity-fed system for gentle grape transfer to fermentation tanks, tanks with a 1:1 height-to-width ratio, pumping-over systems with synoptic displays, and a barrel cellar equipped with underfloor heating and cooling for precise climate control. These facilities contribute to the production of exceptional wines at Compañía de Vinos Heraclio Alfaro.

While running Palisades Market in Calistoga in the early 1990s, Joel Gott noticed a growing need for quality, value wines. Having worked at Kenwood Winery in Sonoma County, and with a family history in the business, Joel felt sure he could fill this void in the market place. In 1996, Joel purchased a few tons of Zinfandel and with the help of Sarah, his girlfriend, and winemaker at Joseph Phelps, produced his first vintage of Dillian Ranch Amador County Zinfandel. The wine received praise from Robert Parker and Wine Spectator, which was all the encour- agement Joel needed to produce additional varietals. Other wines were to follow, and the year after, he and Sarah produced California appellation Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Shopping the entire state for the best fruit, they created wines shaped by various regions instead of a single estate. This style and

commitment to quality wines, blended from hand-selected vineyards, helped guide the direction of Joel Gott Wines.
