ACA Guidelines What You Should Know

First of all, I took pre x-rays, I took post x-rays just from a clinical management perspecCve on each and every paCent. But that was me. I can appreciate that some people don't, that's why I brought up network as an example, because it's a totally different approach. But most chiropractors are uClizing some level of an osseous adjustment, whether it be that we're going to help people with pain management, whether it be from a philosophical perspecCve. From the subluxaCon in and of itself. It doesn't even maMer. We're going to sCll make an osseous adjustment or if you're doing a GrosCc move or SOT, or whatever, we're sCll going to the same place. And how important is it to know exactly what you're dealing with? You don't go to a denCst and have him start filling caviCes just because he looked in your mouth without ever having taken an x-ray. Why would a chiropractor make themselves more in to a technician rather than in to

the doctor role? Mark, help me.

Dr. Studin:

Bill, if you want to answer it, or do you want to answer it? Because I know you love that one.

Dr. Hoffman:

Go for it.

Dr. Owens:

I'll just say one thing real quick and then I'll turn it over to Mark. Stu, and that's a super important point. I have never met a surgeon that looked at deciding the level that they were going to fuse by just observing the paCent without touching them or without imaging. When we're intervening, the level of input based on ... you know, however you're philosophical wiring is, the power of that adjustment, we all agree is powerful and it changes lives. So why would we treat any different than a surgeon would be for a fusion, if we're going to actually correcCng that vertebra, you need to look at it, that's an important part. And no surgeon or no medical specialist would every argue with you about that.

Dr. Hoffman:

And Bill-

Dr. Owens:

It's important. But go ahead, Mark.

Dr. Hoffman:

If we have that level of respect for the spine and for the human body when we're laying on the hands, rather than being a technician that's puhng on some electric sCm, or ice or something to that effect, if we have that level of respect, you're going to want to know what you're dealing with. And truthfully, that's my concern-

Dr. Owens:

Stu, Stu, you know they [inaudible 00:24:49]

Dr. Hoffman:

Yeah, I just want to ...

Dr. Owens:

No, no and what they say is [inaudible 00:24:53]

Dr. Hoffman:

Go ahead, Bill.
