Athletic Events on Campus Experience an integral part of American university culture by attending sporting events at Webster. The games are a great way to have fun with friends and show school spirit! Webster is part of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and has sports teams, including soccer, volleyball, softball, track, cross country, basketball, tennis, golf and baseball. Plays and Concerts Throughout the academic year, Webster St. Louis has a number of concerts, plays and film festivals on campus. For example, Webster houses a professional theater company called The Repertory Theatre St. Louis that provides a special rate on tickets for students at repstl.org . Excursions through the Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs Office The MCISA offers periodic excursions to local and other US cultural sites to Webster University students. The excursions focus on education outside the classroom and encourage students to engage with cultural topics and locations as well as get to know one another. Past trips include Civil Rights History in Memphis, Tennessee; Follow the North Star in Conner Prairie, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois and many more. International Peer Mentors The success of our new international students is very important at Webster St. Louis. This is why we have a dedicated team of current students whose most important job is to provide updates and information to those who have just arrived. Your peer mentor will be randomly assigned based on your level of study, and that peer mentor will check-in with you and be a contact throughout your first term. Please watch for their expertise to hit your Webster University email within the first week of classes.

Founded in 1915, the Webster University home campus is nestled in Webster Groves, a charming and historic residential suburb of St. Louis. State-of-the-art academic buildings, architecturally significant structures that house various university departments, a modern library and student center combine to create a picturesque learning environment. Webster St. Louis offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate majors and its commitment to small class sizes ensures a rich education experience. The home campus in St. Louis is the heart of the international institution with more than 12,000 students who study at campus locations throughout the United States and around the globe. Campus life at Webster St. Louis combines a lively, international student community with the tranquility of open spaces and charming architecture. Students can often be found watching one of Webster’s many athletic teams, participating in one of the student organizations, volunteering in the local community or visiting the many cultural sights of St. Louis. HOUSING IN ST. LOUIS
Over 700 students live on campus at Webster St. Louis. Our student-centered learning environment supports our expectation of academic achievement and personal development. On-campus housing options feature fully furnished facilities with social lounges and study spaces and living on campus provides the convenience of a five-minute walk to classes, the library and other campus activities. All study abroad students are required to live on campus, ensuring that students are supported, comfortable and have easy access to services and facilities. Webster University St. Louis offers a variety of housing options, from residence halls to apartment style housing. All options offer access to laundry facilities, Housing & Residential Life Resident Assistant staff members (who reside on property), internet access and other amenities based on housing placement.
FAST FACTS ABOUT ST. LOUIS • St. Louis was founded in 1764 as a French fur-trading village by Pierre Laclede. He named the city “St. Louis” for King Louis IX. • The 1904 World’s Fair was held in St. Louis and introduced the ice cream cone and iced tea to the world. • St. Louis boasts more free major visitor attractions than anywhere in the U.S., outside of the nation’s capital.
