Parenting (con’t) Deuteronomy 4:9 - Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children. Deuteronomy 6:7 - You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 11:19 - You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Titus 2:7 - Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity. Persecution Matthew 5:10-12 - Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 10:22 - You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. John 15:20 - Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. Romans 12:14 - Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 2 Timothy 3:12 - In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
