In writing to any of these firms, please state the years during which you were a student at Biola. It is understood that no obligation rests upon the manufacturer to select any par­ ticular student, but that the inquiry repre­ sents a desire to employ Christians, when detailed investigation reveals that the Christian applicant qualifies for the posi­ tion in other respects. W elles (Helen Antisdale, ’29) and their year-old son, Robert, plan to leave San Pedro on the President Wilson on Aug­ ust 28 fo*r China, spending the first year in language school at Peiping, with station designation being Ichow, Shantung Prov­ ince, under the Presbyterian Board. Dr. Welles was graduated from Rush Medical College, Chicago, 111. Mrs. Welles took nurses’ training at Evanston Hospital and was graduated from Northwestern Univer­ sity, Evanston, 111. Their present address is 1064 N. Chester, Pasadena, Calif. •Bryant Mitchell, ’24, is Dean of the Open Bible Training School, Des Moines, Iowa. H. A., Jr., and Mrs. Farrar (Mabel M. Phipps, ’ 32) are living in Grand Rapids, Mich., where Mr. Farrar is Radio and Music Director in the Mel Trotter Mission. Mrs. Carl Linden (Rose Faulkner, ’23) called at the Institute before sailing to re­ turn to India with her son Donald. Mr. Linden and the two older children had re­ mained in India, the children being in school. The address of Mr. and Mrs. Lin­ den is “ Edenfell,” Landour, Mussoorie, U. P., India. Herbert C. Richert, ’24, Director of the Music Department, Tabor College, Hills­ boro, Kans., led the Tabor College Choir in an exceptionally fine Sunday afternoon concert in the auditorium of the Church of the Open Door when the musical organiza­ tion was making its spring- tour. Eugene A. ( ’28) and Mrs. Crapuchettes (Winifred Kopp, ’28), on furlough from service in China under the China Inland Mission, are living at 404 S. 32nd Ave., Yakima, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Crapuchettes ♦lave two children. George H. (’18) and Mrs. Ekdahl (Gladys Gibson, ’ 19), members of the Bo­ livian Indian Mission, have been called home from Bolivia because of the illness of their daughter Mary, and expected to reach the United States in the latter part of July. Their address is to be 2032 Durant Ave., Berkeley, Calif. Harold and Mrs. Tuggy, Apartado 47, Barcelona, Venezuela, S. A., members of the Orinoco River Mission, have been en­ couraged by the growing sense of spiritual responsibility on the part of the Christians of their district. Kathryn M. Dick, ’29, Sudan Interior Mission, Oro via llorín, N. Nigeria, B. W. Africa, is working among more than fifty African girls in the Oro Girls’ School, and she finds opportunities to take the gospel to the women in the native huts. Alice E. Whitney, ’27, E. S., on furlough from the Washburne Memorial Hospital, Nyadiri, Southern Rhodesia, Africa, spoke at a Student Missionary Union meeting be­ fore leaving for London, England, to study tropical diseases at the Florence Night­ ingale International Foundation in London, returning to Africa in the fall. Belva Atkinson, ’29, 5475 Angus Dr., Vancouver, B. C., Can., has been teaching Bible classes of high-school girls under the

Inter-School Christian Fellowship of Can­ ada, affiliated with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. Lottie Jordan, ’33, Wichita Falls, Texas, has assisted her father in his church and has been district superintendent of work among Juniors. Marian Carleson, who has been serving for several years in the office at the head­ quarters of the China Inland Mission at 1531 Sinza Rd., Shanghai, China, has moved to a station in Honan Province. She is to have a period of direct work among the Chinese before coming home on fur­ lough. Jacob R. (’21) and Mrs. Duerksen (Chris- tena Harder, ’19), Mennonite missionaries, sailed several months ago to return to India. Their new address is Birra, via Baraduar, C'. P., India. Born T o Earl R.
