This year has been transformative for Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas, marked by meaningful impact, innovative partnerships, and an unwavering dedication to empowering girls in our community. We are proud to report that our commitment to serving more girls has yielded remarkable results. This year, we reached 4,045 girls across the Dallas metropolitan area, representing a 12.9% increase from 2023. Through strategic partnerships with 44 schools and community organizations, we've extended our programming to new neighborhoods and communities, ensuring more girls have access to life- changing opportunities. The challenges facing today's girls remain significant. Recent studies continue to highlight concerning trends in girls' mental health and academic pressures. In response, we've enhanced our programming to address these crucial areas: Launched new mental wellness initiatives focusing on resilience and emotional intelligence Expanded our STEM education programs to prepare girls for future careers Developed additional college readiness and leadership development opportunities Our evidence-based approach continues to demonstrate powerful outcomes. Girls participating in Girls Inc. programs show significantly higher rates of: Academic achievement and college enrollment Leadership participation and community engagement Positive body image, self-confidence, healthy relationship skills, and boundary-setting abilities
As we move into 2025, we're setting ambitious goals to deepen our impact:
Expanding our reach to serve 4,500 girls in 2025 Strengthening our advocacy efforts for policies that support girls' well-being Developing new partnerships to enhance our career exploration programming
While we celebrate our progress, we recognize that thousands of girls in Dallas still need access to supportive, empowering environments where they can thrive. With your continued partnership, we remain steadfast in our mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
