"2024 has marked a turning point where every step forward created new pathways of possibility. We transformed not because we had to, but because we dared to dream bigger for those we serve." - Erin Chupka, SVP of Program Services
The fifth annual Power 2 the Girl Conference brought together more than 300 Dallas County girls at Pioneer Natural Resources on March 2, 2024, celebrating the theme "Stand In Their Strengths." The event featured rising teen DJ K-Sprinkles and was highlighted by an inspiring panel moderated by Lady Jade, showcasing young activists Cassandra Lin, founder of "Turn Grease into Fuel," and Sophie Cruz, a pioneering immigration advocate who famously approached the Pope at age five to champion immigrant rights. The conference provided a dynamic platform where attendees could witness firsthand how young voices can create meaningful change – from Lin's successful environmental initiative that led to state legislation, to Cruz's powerful advocacy that influenced international discussions on immigration. Through engaging sessions and inspiring stories, the event reinforced its mission of empowering young women to be strong, smart and bold, leaders in their communities.
