What I did: I spent my time at this hotel/restaurant event venue assisting the operations manager in communicating with guests and organizing private events. In addition to my role making BEOs, calling and emailing clients, I also made weekly graphics with upcoming live music and events we were hosting to post on social media and to send out to our email list. I essentially helped in any way I was needed to, so my job role changed constantly. What I liked: I liked how I was able to coordinate and execute my own events throughout my time here in addition to assisting with larger projects and ongoing tasks. I also bartended which I really enjoyed because I was able to work the events and talk to the guests and ensure they were getting the best service we could offer. Overall, I was given a lot of responsibility and I was able to learn about the industry even more.
Future Dream Job: My dream job is to own and operate my own event venue.
