What I did: I completed multiple tasks related to individual income tax returns. I started off with assembling the client copy folders and helping clients when they came in. This allowed me to better familiarize myself with many tax forms prior to starting data entry. After that, I began entering client data into the tax software. A typical day involves a combination of data entry, assembling client copies, and client assistance. What I liked: I enjoyed the fact that there was always something new to be learned about current tax laws and the tax software. Everyone’s return is different and unique which also keeps things interesting. Future Dream Job: My dream job is an accounting job in which I can make a positive impact in the lives of community members while also selecting my own hours.
