What I did: Throughout the summer semester, I spent all my time in the Human Resources department at PreventionGenetics. I created a lot of different spreadsheets for organization purposes, conducted OIG search results, created and presented a proposal for our executive team, got involved in the hiring process, and helped file employee paperwork. Overall, I learned a lot about the day to day activities in human resources and created different items to help their needs. What I liked: I enjoyed all my tasks in the HR department but if I had to pick something I liked the most, I would have to say the proposal that I created and presented. I had little to no knowledge about the service I had to propose so I went through all the steps of the proposal on my own. This was my first time creating a proposal so it was a very challenging task and I got to meet a lot of new people outside our organization. It was a rewarding feeling once I found out it got approved by our CEO/president. Future Dream Job: My dream job is an upper management position in sales or marketing.
