Forged as One, the sky is the limit for what we can accomplish!

Iron is one of the most fundamental substances on earth. On its own it’s strong. Resilient. But when other elements are added under the proper conditions, it becomes steel – an alloy that’s a thousand times stronger than iron alone. That same principle holds true for Averitt. Individually, we each have strengths. But our true power lies in our unity. It lies in the way we come together – in the way we combine our skills and talents to create the industry standard for performance and professionalism. It lies in the way we deliver innovative solutions for our customers day in and day out. And it lies in the way we support and uplift one another.
The same way iron is tempered into something far stronger, our team is
strengthened through our shared vision and commitment. From the warehouse, to the loading dock, to the open road and beyond, we stand and work as a cohesive whole – exceeding expectations and delivering on our promises. Strength. Resilience. Unity.
That’s Averitt. Forged as One.
THANK YOU Averitt Chattanooga Service Center

READY FOR THE ROAD AHEAD
34 28
By following a few simple care tips, you can ensure that our shared commitment to excellence shines through every time you step out on the job. > SPOT THE STAINS Sure, stains are part of the territory. But that doesn’t mean they need to stick around. Check your clothes for stains after each use. If you notice any, get the garment in the wash right away. The longer a stain sits, the harder it is to remove. > SWITCH TO LIQUID While powdered detergents may be convenient, they often contain harsh chemicals that can break down fabric and fade colors. Stick to liquid detergents to keep your uniform looking sharp and lasting longer. > WASH COOL Cold water helps preserve colors and minimize shrinkage. It also gets clothes just as clean as warmer water. That’s why you should always opt for cold water when washing your uniform.
> SEPARATE WITH CARE Tossing shirts into the wash with heavy items like jeans or pants can increase wear and tear, not to mention wrinkles. Wash heavier items separately whenever possible. > AIR IS YOUR ALLY Commercial dryers can damage fabric over time. When you can, air- dry your uniform on a clothesline or drying rack. If you must use a dryer, remove items while they’re slightly damp to avoid shrinking. > TURN IT INSIDE OUT Turning garments inside out before washing helps prevent fading and protects embroidered or printed designs from unnecessary wear.
29
STAY SHARP STAY CONFIDENT
A clean uniform goes a long way toward projecting a professional appearance. Here’s how to tackle some of the common stains that are likely to come your way.
> DIESEL FUEL Diesel stains can bring both a mess and a smell. For smaller spills, air out the garment first. For heavy spills, hose the garment off and let it dry outside for at least 24 hours. Once the smell is gone, wash on the hottest setting the fabric can handle, adding 1/4 cup of ammonia. (You can find it in the cleaning aisle of most grocery or hardware stores.) Remember that the garment is only safe to put in the dryer once the smell and stain are completely gone. Using 2 cups of vinegar in a rinse cycle can also help get rid of odors. > OIL & GREASE For stubborn grease stains, sprinkle cornstarch on the area and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing. Another option is to spray WD-40 on the stain, let it soak, and then wash it with a little dish soap before tossing it in the laundry. > BLOOD Cold water is your first step in treating blood stains. Rinse the area thoroughly, then follow up with a soak in an enzyme-based stain remover like OxiClean. For older stains, give the garment extra soaking time before washing. > COFFEE & SODA Presoak the garment in cool water with liquid detergent for at least 30 minutes. Follow with a regular wash cycle in cold water to keep the stain from setting permanently.
30
REPAIR OR RECYCLE
Your uniform is a key part of our unified, professional image, but even the best garments have their limits. Here’s how to decide whether to patch things up or pass them on.
> REPAIR: Stained Collar: Treat collar stains with shampoo before washing, and prevent future stains by wearing your uniform only once between washes. Stains Under the Arm: Dissolve a few denture-cleaning tablets in warm water, or use OxiClean to tackle stubborn underarm stains. Missing Buttons: Sometimes, a quick repair is all it takes to keep your uniform looking sharp. Grab a needle and thread to replace missing buttons. > EXCHANGE OR RECYCLE: Frayed Collar: Replacing a collar is rarely worth the effort. Consider trading up for a fresh start instead. Frayed Cuffs: Repairing cuffs can often cost as much as a new shirt. Save yourself the hassle and go for the upgrade. Faded Color: If your Averitt red is starting to look more like pink, it’s time for an upgrade. A bold, bright uniform makes a professional impression.
See page 42 to learn how you can give your old Averitt shirts a second life through our recycling program.

Every associate’s journey contributes to our shared story of dedication and success. From drivers to dock associates and beyond, each team member plays a vital role in shaping who we are. UNITED BY PURPOSE. STRENGTHENED BY TEAMWORK.

RANDY BAGGETT City Driver
During his time driving both over the road and city routes for another company, Randy Baggett would often bump into Averitt drivers. “I’d talk to them a lot,” he says. “I’d say, ‘Hey, when are they going to hire me up there?’” Then, in 2002, he made it happen. “Even though I’d driven for another company, I had to wait for a driver position to open up. I started part time on the dock, eventually working my way up to full time. Then the city position came available, and I’ve been driving it ever since.” Well, almost. He actually took a break from Averitt in 2008 to focus full time on his own DJ-ing business – Choo Choo Entertainment. (Yes, you read that right.) “I was doing about 27 gigs a week.” But after 11 years, he wanted to dial back the pace. So he returned to our team in 2019. “I still DJ weddings and play drums in a band,” he says. “Just not as intense.” As for what drew him back, the answer is many of the same things that got his attention back in 2002. “At first it was the equipment, the uniforms, and the convenience of it being close to home. But once I got on, I realized how much better things are here compared to a lot of other things I’ve done in my life. “There’s a real sense of ‘team’ around here. We really help take care of each other. And I can say from experience, once you get your foot in the door, there are opportunities for growth – whether it’s city driver, shuttle driver, or even leadership – those possibilities are here. It’s just a matter of how far you want to go and what your attitude is.”
CHRIS WHITE City Driver
Chris White may have joined our team in 2022, but his admiration for the company started much earlier. “I wanted to work with Averitt ever since I started driving trucks eight years ago. I’d see the fleet out on the road, and they always looked well organized. Uniform-wise, trailer-wise, equipment-wise – everything was on point. And I said, ‘I’m going to drive for them one day.’” Before he started driving, Chris spent over two decades running his own business as a brick mason. But when health challenges forced him to change careers, he found a new passion behind the wheel. “I liked driving right away,” he says. “I worked for a couple of other companies, but nothing compares to here. When my last company shut down, Averitt brought us in. It was the best thing that ever happened to me.” As a city driver, Chris enjoys the variety that comes with being on an unassigned route. “I don’t want to go to the same place every day,” he explains. “If you’re out, I’ve got you covered – that’s my approach.” Chris also takes pride in representing our professional image. “When I step out of the truck in my Averitt red, it’s like a confidence boost. Customers see you and know you mean business.” For Chris, it’s the culture of respect and support that sets Averitt apart. “I hurt my foot a while back and had to go on workers’ comp,” he recalls. “The whole time I was off, my dispatchers and coworkers kept calling to check on me. It’s not like other places where you’re just a number. Here, you’re part of a team that looks out for you.” At home, Chris enjoys firing up the smoker and playing pool. “It’s the perfect way to relax after a week on the road,” he says. Family is also a big part of his life – he and his wife have five grown kids and six grandkids. “I’ve got two sets of twins,” he laughs. “They call me Superman without the cape.”
33
CYNTHIA HUNTER Dock Associate
For Cynthia Hunter, joining our team in 2021 was a family affair – literally. “My dad has been with Averitt for over 25 years,” she says. “He’s always spoken so highly of the people and the company, and I’ve known quite a few of the guys in the shop for a while. So when I needed a new opportunity, I decided to give it a try.” Before coming to Averitt, Cynthia was an auto body technician specializing in collision repair. But the COVID-19 pandemic led her to pursue a new path. “I actually tried driving, but I found out I didn’t like being on the road with that many people in something that big,” she says. “I’d never worked on a dock before, but I had some experience with heavy equipment, so I figured I’d give forklifts a try. It turned out to be a great fit.” Cynthia has since set her sights on advancing within the company, thanks in part to the mentorship she’s received. “Kyle, our W&R person, has been teaching me about weight and reconciliation, like how measurements impact freight costs. It’s fascinating to see how even a small adjustment can change the cost of the total freight bill.” For Cynthia, wearing the Averitt red symbolizes more than professionalism – it’s about a sense of community. “It gives you a sense of belonging,” she explains. “When I’m working with my team, whether it’s on the dock or volunteering to place wreaths for fallen soldiers, I know I’m part of something bigger. It’s definitely a culture that I enjoy because I’ve worked for some places where you’re just a number on a sheet.” Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys gardening, drawing, and spending time with her husband. “I love sketching old cars and fantasy designs,” she says. “It all started with my dad, who’s always been into cars. When the first ‘Fast and Furious’ movie came out, it made me want to design artwork for cars. Then I realized that most people don’t have that kind of paint job.”
L E ROY CONDET On Tour Logistics
For LeRoy Condet, driving with Averitt is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. “I always wanted to drive a truck,” he says. “Back in grade school, I’d check out truck-driving books from the library. It’s just something I’ve always wanted to do.” After serving 20 years in the Marine Corps, he made his dream a reality – starting his career with another company before joining our team in 2014. “There’s a facility about five miles from my house, and I’d see the trucks going up and down the highway no matter where I was – California, Texas, you name it,” he recalls. “I talked to drivers who’d been with Averitt for years, and nobody spoke of leaving. That’s what I was looking for – somewhere I could plant roots.” LeRoy started in Dedicated, moved to Truckload, and then found his home in On Tour Logistics. Now a lead driver, he enjoys mentoring others who are new to OTL. “I like helping drivers make a smooth transition,” he says. “If OTL isn’t a good fit, I’ll point them to other opportunities, like Truckload or LTL. There’s a place for everyone here.” LeRoy also values our professional image, which makes a strong impression on tours. “When we show up in uniform, the production managers and stage teams notice. We’re not out there in jeans and sneakers. They appreciate that we work as a unit, and we look good doing it,” he says. “It’s all about teamwork and making the job go smoothly.” At home, LeRoy stays busy with hands-on projects – fixing things, maintaining the pool, or taking on something new. “Before I even get home, I’ll ask my wife, ‘Is anything broken?’ I’m always looking for something to do,” he says. With four grown children, including two recent college graduates and one currently at Texas A&M, family remains his primary focus. And when he eventually retires, he and his wife have big plans: “We’re going to be RVers – sure it’s more driving, but with longer stops and we can do it together.”

STEVE ROBERTS Mercedes
After retiring from a 22-year career in the Army, Steve Roberts wasn’t quite ready to slow down. And the transition to driving was a natural fit. “I’ve always loved to travel,” he says. “And getting paid for it made it even better.” Although he’s now been driving for 25 years, there was a brief interlude. “My wife got a job at Mercedes, so we moved from Mississippi to Alabama. I spent two years working in a plant, but plant life isn’t for me. I’m an outside person. So I decided to go back to driving, and Averitt was the perfect choice. I’d seen our day cabs and knew I could get a local position to be home every night.” He came on board in 2010. As a dedicated driver for Mercedes, Steve specializes in hauling parts that need reworking, delivering them between staging facilities and the plant. The role requires collaboration and attention to detail, two qualities Steve values in our culture. “Averitt is filled with really nice people. And the equipment’s top-notch.” Steve also appreciates the professionalism that comes with wearing a uniform. “I was in the military for 22 years, so I’m cool with uniforms. But it’s more than just clothes – it’s about a sense of pride. It says something about who we are as a company.” When he’s not on the road, Steve enjoys spending time in his garage, taking on DIY projects and tinkering with tools – much to his wife’s dismay. “She gets on me because I buy tools all the time, but I just like working with my hands,” he says. He also enjoys hunting, fishing (“when they’re biting”), and watching his Mississippi State Bulldogs. For Steve, Averitt has provided a stable and fulfilling career that’s been worth every mile. “Your career here is what you make it,” he says. “If you’re willing to put in the effort, Averitt gives you every opportunity to succeed.”
THOMAS SAYMAN Truckload
Thomas Sayman’s driving career spans four decades, but his fascination with the industry started long before he ever climbed behind the wheel. “I grew up on a farm and my uncle was a truck driver,” he says. “As a kid I used to stand on my grandmother’s stoop, watch the trucks go by, and give them the elbow pump to blow their air horn. When I got out of the Army in 1985, I decided I wanted to see the world and get paid for it.” Since then, he’s driven through 48 states and six Canadian provinces. “Alaska was on my bucket list, but I never got around to it. As for Hawaii, the bridge is still under construction.” Thomas joined our team in 2019 after years as an owner-operator. He was drawn to Averitt after a chance meeting with some associates from On Tour Logistics. “I was impressed,” he says. “They were squared away. The uniforms looked sharp, and the trucks were well-maintained. I thought, if I ever stop being an owner-operator, this is the company I want to work for.” When his truck’s engine failed a year later, he made the switch – and he hasn’t looked back. “The equipment and maintenance here are top-notch,” he says. “My first two trucks as an owner-operator were actually former Averitt trucks. I ran them up to a million miles and only had to change the oil and tires. That says a lot about how we take care of our fleet.” Thomas also appreciates the professional image our associates represent. “As a veteran, I appreciate the uniformity,” he says. “When we all look sharp and put together, it makes a statement about who we are.” When he’s not on the road, Thomas enjoys flying single-engine planes and taking Saturday “bonding trips” with his wife. “We’ll go on little road trips, hit some thrift stores, or head down to Chattanooga to do the touristy stuff. And with In-N-Out popping up about an hour away, that’s definitely going on our list of destinations.”

When Tatyanna Pollard started with our team in 2019, she was looking primarily for a local driving position. She wasn’t necessarily expecting to find a home. “I knew we were hiring for local, so I applied and got the job,” she says. “But after a while, I moved to OTL to get the experience of working concerts and going on tours. And I absolutely love my job.” As part of On Tour Logistics, Tatyanna has worked on high-profile tours, including Morgan Wallen’s. “That was my first tour this year,” she says. “I was gone for about seven months, but I was able to come home during that time. It’s a long stretch, but it’s worth it for the experience.” What drew Tatyanna to Averitt wasn’t just the role, but also our culture. “One of the biggest things was Averitt Cares for Kids,” she says. “I love children – their energy and potential. I want to be a part of their lives, helping ensure they grow up respectful and educated. Learning about Averitt’s commitment to kids made the decision easy for me.” She also appreciates the compassion we show our associates. “There’s an energy and care here that you don’t find at other companies,” she says. “Averitt really looks out for its drivers and takes care of them. It even shows in the equipment – it’s always up to date. And when it comes to the runs, the routes, everything – you’re going to get the best of the best.” Tatyanna’s professionalism and positive attitude also play a big role in how she approaches her work. “I’m big on positivity and respect for the customers,” she says. “I always have a smile on my face – it’s important to me, and it reflects well on our team.” Outside of work, Tatyanna definitely stays busy. “I spend time with my goddaughters, and I recently started making jewelry,” she says. “But my main focus now is school – I’m studying computer engineering, which means I’m back to doing homework. Finishing my degree is the next big goal.” TATYANNA POLLARD On Tour Logistics
STEPHEN SANDERS Dock Associate
For Stephen Sanders, joining our team 25 years ago was a chance to learn something new. “Before this, I worked at a place that made carpet pads,” he says. “A guy I worked with mentioned Averitt, so I came over and put in an application. I eventually got the call and started part time while still working my other job. Then when a full- time opportunity opened up, I took it, and I’ve been here ever since.” Stephen has spent his entire career on the dock in Chattanooga, where he’s seen our stability firsthand. “We’ve been a strong, stable company the whole time I’ve been here, and that’s really reassuring,” he says. “The benefits are great, too, and the people here are very professional. You feel like you’re part of a team, and everyone’s willing to help you if you need it.” Wearing his Averitt red is something else Stephen takes pride in every day. “It’s a respectful occupation,” he explains. “I feel proud to be an associate here. The uniform really shows how important professionalism is to the whole organization – and it’s a reminder that we’re part of something bigger.” He also values the opportunities for those who want to grow. “There’s room to move up if you want it,” he says. “Whether it’s driving or getting into leadership, the opportunity is there – the sky’s the limit. It just depends on how far you want to go and what you want to accomplish.” When he’s not working, Stephen likes to stay active. “I weight train daily,” he shares. “And when I have some extra time, I enjoy bowling or shooting pool. I’m not in a league or anything – they probably wouldn’t let me in,” he jokes. “I’m sure I don’t qualify.”

KELVIN JONES Truckload
Kelvin Jones has been driving with our team since 2011, but his professional driving career began well before then. Between flatbed and truckload, he covered his share of ground over the years. “Wherever they put the load on me,” he says, “that’s where I went.” Kelvin’s decision to join Averitt came down to our professionalism and reputation. “I’d always see Averitt trucks on the road – they were clean, and the drivers were in uniform,” he recalls. Then he struck up a conversation with one of our drivers at a truck stop. “He talked really highly of Averitt, and hearing something like that will influence you. I told myself, ‘If I ever make a move, I’ll give Averitt a try.’ That’s what I ended up doing, and I’ve been here ever since.” He credits our unique culture for giving him a place to call home. “The communication is great,” he says. “I’ve had several fleet managers over the years, and every one of them has treated me well. They’re friendly, easy to talk to, and they’ll even throw in a joke here and there. It’s little things like that that make you feel welcome.” Kelvin also appreciates the reliability of our equipment and our maintenance team’s quick response when a situation arises. “If something happens on the road, they’ll tell you exactly who’s coming and how long it’ll take,” he says. “And if you need to stay somewhere overnight, leadership makes sure you’re in a comfortable spot where you can relax. That kind of support isn’t common in this industry.” Kelvin takes pride in wearing Averitt red, which he says represents more than just a uniform. “It makes you feel professional when you walk into a customer’s location. It shows you’re part of a team that takes care of its associates.” When he’s not on the road, Kelvin enjoys fishing, spending time with his nine grandchildren, and “sitting around talking with my buddy JP.” But he also has a less conventional way to relax: kickboxing. “I just love to watch it,” he says.

FINDING THAT PERFECT FIT
Accurate measurements are the first step toward getting a uniform that feels as good as it looks. Follow these simple tips to ensure your gear fits you perfectly:
MEN > NECK: Measure around the base of the neck, where a collared shirt would fit. > CHEST: Measure across the fullest part of the chest, under the arms and across the back. > WAIST: Measure over the shirt at the waistline, where pants are normally worn. Tighten the tape as snug as you prefer your pants to fit. > INSEAM: Measure from the inseam to the top of the shoe. WOMEN > BUST: Measure under the arms and around the fullest part of the bust. > WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the natural waistline (just above the hip bones). > HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of the hips (normally 7" to 8" below the natural waistline). > SLEEVE LENGTH: Measure from the center of the outside collar over the shoulder, around the elbow, to the point where the sleeve should end (usually the bottom of the wrist bone).
TIP: No measuring tape? Use a piece of string or yarn, then measure it against a yardstick or ruler.
