Healthcare providers face constant information overload making it difficult to quickly identify relevant, accurate, and critically appraised patient care information. The One Search portal provides point-of-care and evidence-based tools, resources and information relevant to everyday patient care or research needs.
In 2024, we delivered 3,310 documents and saved approximately 1040 hours of clinician time by conducting librarian-mediated searches.
The Ask the Librarian online request forms are available on the MySutter intranet and One Search portal. Requests are filled according to priority ( Urgent, Rush, or Normal ). Specifically, we deliver information to support patient care and education purposes, and policy, clinical pathways, or guideline development.
The medical library staff in Palo Alto and Burlingame facilitate lending print books upon request from our small collections.
