Welcome to our team! Today, we'll guide you through entering your information into Paycom, our Payroll and HR management system.
Onboarding With Paycom

To use the app, download the Paycom app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, then click the start button found in the email. If you prefer to use a web browser, just click the start button in the email to proceed.
To begin, open your personal email account and look for a message from systemmessage@paycomonline.com. This email contains a link for your onboarding process. You can complete the onboarding using either the Paycom app or a web browser.
The first step is to verify your phone number. Choose either to receive an SMS (text message) or an automated voice call. After making your selection, click "Send."
You will receive a six-digit code either via text message or phone call. Enter this code on the screen and click 'Verify'. If you don't receive a code, select 'Resend Code'. If the issue continues, please contact the HR Department.
After that, you will be prompted to select your preferred language. Then click ‘Next’
Here you will see a quick overview of the Paycom onboarding process, once the video concludes, press ‘Next’.
You can now set your username and password. For your username, you have three options: the email where the link was sent, an alternate email address, or a default username created by Paycom.
On this screen, you will choose your security questions and provide the answers. When finished, click ‘Finish’.
You have successfully completed the credentials section. Next let’s move on to your personal information.
Here, you can update your personal information such as address, phone number, and emergency contacts. Let’s go through each section.
In this section, fill out your name, date of birth, social security number, and any other required fields. Make sure everything is accurate to avoid any issues with your payroll and benefits.
Next, add your contact information. Enter your current address and phone number. Keeping this information up to date is crucial for communication and mailing purposes.
After that, head over to 'Emergency Contacts.' Add at least one emergency contact by providing their name, relationship to you, and their phone number and click ‘Next’.
This screen relates to compliance information. To comply with laws regarding EEOC, our company tracks race/ethnicity, gender, disability, and veteran status.
Let’s move on to ‘Pay Setup’. If your previous employer provided us routing and account information, you will just need to review and confirm the information. You can also add or change your account information at this time as well.
Here you can add additional accounts, or if everything looks correct, you can click ‘Next’.
On this page, you will sign your name authorizing the direct deposit. Once complete, click ‘Finish’.
If we do not already have your info, this is where you can specify your preferred paycheck deposit location.
You have the option to set up direct deposit for your checks, allowing you to split your paycheck across multiple accounts if desired. Simply enter your bank's routing number and your account number. Alternatively, you may opt to receive payment via a pay card.
Now, let’s move to the 'Tax Setup' section. Here, you’ll enter your federal and state tax withholding information.
If you’re unsure how to complete this section, please consult your tax advisor or follow the IRS Withholding Calculator link. Follow through with both state and local taxes (if applicable) and sign and acknowledge your tax form selections.
This screen will show you the documents you have completed and what you still need to complete. We are going to move into the completion of the I9, ‘Employment Eligibility Verification’.
In this section, please take your time to ensure that all information is entered correctly. When inputting your name, ensure it matches your full legal name accurately.
On the final page of this section, read and check the box acknowledging the agreement, sign and continue.
When finished, click ‘Finish’.
A prompt will come up making sure you want to continue as the information you enter on the I9 is final.
Next, ensure all forms are completed by checking for a green check mark and selecting ‘Done’.
Finally, take a moment to review all your entries. Once everything looks correct, click 'Submit' at the bottom of each section to ensure your information is updated.
Congrats, you have finished your initial onboarding!

Going forward, you will simply log into Paycom through www.paycom.com and enter the credentials you created at the beginning of this process.
After completing your onboarding, you will need to login and complete your checklist. This checklist contains important info such as our safety guide and company policies
Post-Onboarding Checklist

Now, that you have completed your onboarding, log into www.paycom.com, or go in through your app with the credentials you created.
The first time you log in, it will ask you to select your preference with regard to how you will receive your end of the year W2 and 1095 tax form.
Whenever you log in, you will want to make sure to check your notifications. This section contains important notices as well as tasks and learning you will need to complete.
To complete your post- onboarding checklist, click ‘Acquisition Checklist’.
On this page, you will click ‘Start’ next to each task item, reading and acknowledging the documents as you go. There are two pages of task items.
After clicking start on a task item, follow the link to review the document or video.
Use the ‘Next Action’ button to navigate to the areas of the document requiring action. Click in the blue space to sign and date.
Handwrite or type your name and click ‘Sign’.
Once all required info is entered, click ‘Complete’ and move on throughout all listed tasks.
On page two, you will want to ensure to upload your I9 documents. You can find a full listing of eligible items on the next page.
For I9 verification, you can use one item from List A, or a combination of items, one from List B and one from List C.
After clicking start, you can upload your I9 selections from either your phone or PC. Simply click, upload file and select where you would like to upload your file from.
Once the selection has been made, click ‘Upload’.
Once you have completed all items, ensure your ‘Percent Complete’ shows 100. If so, you are all set!
