UMADAOP Akron's Youth Led Mission
U MADAOP Akron's Youth Led Prevention program is a dynamic initiative that empowers young individuals to take charge of their communities' well-being. Held on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the school year, these sessions provide a platform for youth to lead the way in promoting prevention and fostering positive change. Through the Youth Led Prevention program, young participants are given the opportunity to step into leadership roles, advocate for healthy lifestyles, and drive initiatives that address prevalent issues affecting their peers. By engaging in meaningful discussions, activities, and projects, youth leaders gain valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and advocacy, preparing them to make a tangible impact in their communities. The program not only equips young individuals with the tools to prevent substance abuse and other challenges but also instills a sense of responsibility and agency in shaping a brighter future. By fostering a culture of empowerment and active participation, UMADAOP Akron's Youth Led Prevention program cultivates a generation of proactive, informed, and engaged youth leaders dedicated to creating positive change in their schools and neighborhoods.
