ERICK DAMPIER Assistant Boys Basketball Coach

Erick Dampier is a retired professional player of the NBA. He is from New Hebron, MS where he led Lawrence County High School to two State Championships. He went on to Mississippi State University where he played from 1993-1996. He led MSU to the SEC Tournament Championship and ultimately the Final Four in 1996. Erick was the 10th pick in the 96’ NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. Over the next 16 years he also played with the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, and Atlanta Hawks. He went to the NBA Finals twice with the Mavericks and the Heat. After 16 years, Erick retired in 2012.

Erick currently lives in Ridgeland, MS with his wife Yolanda. They have 4 children: Alyssa 11, Erick Jr 9, Ayanna 6, and Derick 3. They all attend MRA and they are active in various sports including basketball, volleyball and soccer. When Erick is not enjoying his children’s activities he spends his time collecting various antiques. HARPER HUDNALL 8th Grade Boys Basketball Coach & Assistant Girls Basketball Coach

Harper, a 2016 graduate of Madison-Ridgeland Academy, is currently a senior at Mississippi College majoring in Business Administration. He competed in basketball and track while at MRA, playing on the 2014 & 2016 Overall State Champion teams. He will be assisting Coach Stephen Force with the Varsity Girls basketball team, as well as Coach Pat Lovitt with the Junior High Girls team. He can also be found on the sidelines for the 7th grade girls and 8thgrade boys basketball teams.
