SEASON OUTLOOK - VARSITY GIRLS The 2020-2021 Lady Patriots are very excited about this year’s team. Peyton Young and Laurel Fulcher will be this year’s two seniors. This will be Peyton’s third year on the high school team, and Laurel rejoins the Lady Patriots after playing as a sophomore. Juniors Hunter Thompson and Sarah Margaret Seabrook are the only starters returning. Addie Morris, Catie Mann, and Sloane Vinson round out this year’s Junior Class. Sophomores Ella Hendry, Kathryn Kilpatrick, Riley Hancock, Ella Wesley Davis, Evie Ewing, Cameron Humphries, Mary Thames Wilson, and Freshman Grace Mansell join the team after winning the Jr high championship last year. Young talented players will be asked to step in and play major roles right from the beginning. What this team lacks in experience is made up for in competitive spirit and toughness. Just about all of these girls have won a state championship in another sport so they know how to get it done. The Lady Patriots open the season the week of October 26th at our very own 6th annual Madison Madness Preseason Girls Tournament. The schedule resumes this year with many tough in-state games against some larger public schools. Trips to the Gulfport Shootout, The Magnolia Heights Classic, and a game with Tishomingo County will allow us to play some of the best public school competition in the state. These games will prepare us for a tough January conference schedule and hopefully for the State and Overall Tournaments. Stephen Force
