Elite Physical Therapy & COVID-19 At Elite Physical Therapy, the health and safety of our patients is always our top priority. We have been continually monitoring developments of the Covid-19 virus. To be certain of everyone’s safety, we are adhering to the following precautions. Our team is cleaning gym equipment, doorknobs, and other surfaces multiple times throughout the day. There are multiple hand sanitizer stations throughout our clinic and we encourage everyone to use them upon arrival and after therapy. We are using private treatment rooms for each patient and are happy to employ gloves and/or masks upon request or when necessary. We kindly ask that if you are having any of the following symptoms, a cough, high temperature, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing, please call to reschedule your appointment and contact your PCP office by phone. We are happy to have one of our Physical Therapists call you to discuss your care if you are unable/uncomfortable attending Physical Therapy at this time. We will work with our patients who may have a compromised immune system or at high risk for respiratory issues on an alternative treatment path.

Exercise Tips from Home

The best way to keep your body healthy during this time is to stay moving and reduce inflammation. Here are two exercises that you can do from home to get up and get moving: Squats:

While using a wall or counter, sit down through your hips, pushing your hips backwards and keeping your back straight. Repeat 10 times 1-2 sets per day.

Heel raises: Against a wall or counter, lift straight up through your toes and back down. Repeat 10 times 1-2 sets per day.

Continue your home exercise program 2-3 times per week. In order to be healthy, there needs to be a large emphasis on movement. When your body is flexible, strong, well-balanced, and fueled by a nutritious diet, it is able to fight infection and reduce the impact of viruses. We are dedicated to helping you live the best life you can. During this time, if you cannot make it to your physical therapy appointments, continue your exercises at home. We care for you and remember you are part of our physical therapy family.

What Elite Physical Therapy Is Doing To Keep Your Physical Therapy A Safe Place

Elite Physical Therapy is committed to the health and well-being of you and your family. In the wake of the recent spread of COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus, we are taking every precaution. Before and after every session, we are asking our clients and staff to wash or sanitize their hands. Additionally, we have increased the number of times per day that we sanitize our equipment and facility. To do your part to prevent the spread of this contagious disease, we ask parents that if you or a member of your family is demonstrating symptoms of coronavirus

such as coughing, sneezing or fever..please stay home. Additionally, if you or your family member has been exposed to someone who has a confirmed case of the virus, please notify us immediately, so we can take necessary steps. Your cooperation during this time is what makes us able to continue to provide valuable services to you and your family. We appreciate your ongoing support.
