The Investigative Report: Accuracy

u The importance of the investigative report cannot be exaggerated u Accuracy is paramount u The report should be devoid of even minor mistakes u It should reflect proper spelling and grammar u It should contain all relevant facts, even those that may seem unimportant at the time. u Errors not only undermine confidence in the investigation, but confidence in the investigator u An investigator whose credibility has been compromised isn’t long for the job.
