Some of our unique artisan experiences
Meeting a local fisherman in Fano What better way to get a true sense of the beautiful coastal city of Fano than by listening to seafaring tales from a local fisherman. That’s exactly what’s included on our guided tour of the city. After exploring the historical centre with Roman, medieval and Renaissance remains, we visit the old port and chat to a fisherman to hear about his decades of going to sea for the local catch! Best of all, we try Moretta, the local hot coffee laced with rum and brandy which used to keep the fishermen warm at sea!
Lunch with Le Marche family An authentic experience and
Ascoli Piceno walking tour Surrounded by mountains and national parks, the compact medieval city of Ascoli Piceno is ideal for a relaxing walking tour to take in its hidden treasures. As well as its mouthwatering gastronomic delights & delicious wines, the city of white stone is known for its inviting piazzas, incredible art and elegant architecture of bell towers and turrets. With a knowledgeable guide, we will explore on foot and see the Corso Mazzini, the Jewish Ghetto, Piazza Arringo, Piazza del Popolo, the Church of San Francisco, and the city’s beautiful cloisters.
opportunity to meet local people who are passionate about growing organic produce, we are hosted by a local family deep in Le Marche countryside. We will sit down for lunch with the family and enjoy a regional dish made for us by Ivana, an Italian fish stew, ‘brodetto di pesce fanese’! Afterwards, escorted by Ivana’s husband, Otello, we explore the family’s vegetable garden surrounded by age-old olive tree.
