Day 7: Kimberley Soon after lunch, The Blue Train arrives in Kimberley, the capital of the Northern Cape and a town with a prosperous past, due to the discovery of diamonds in the area. After disembarking, take a tour of the Kimberley Open Mine Museum. Day 8: Pretoria Your rail journey comes to an end this afternoon. The Blue Train pulls into the administrative capital of South Africa, Pretoria, early this evening. This handsome city has streets lined with Jacaranda trees and is a hub for art, culture and cuisine. Day 9: Kruger National Park Your route today takes you into the wilderness once more as you make your way to your luxury lodge-style hotel on the banks of the Sabie River at the entrance to the Kruger National Park. The largest park in South Africa and one of the world’s most famous, Kruger National Park is home to all the ‘Big Five’ game animals: the lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros. Day 10: Kruger National Park Today, enjoy a full day of game viewing, heading out by Jeep after an early breakfast, accompanied by a local, skilled ranger. Start by tracking the big cats, still out from their night spent hunting. Day 11: Kruger National Park Another day of fantastic wildlife and wild African scenery lies ahead as you enjoy a second full day safari in Kruger. Days 12-13: Kruger National Park - Johannesburg - UK Set off back to Johannesburg. The landscapes change and gradually become more urban along your route. You’ll then reach the airport to catch your flight home.

Day 4: Venice - Florence Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then return to Santa Lucia station for your train to Florence. On arrival in Florence, start exploring this beautiful and historic city. A good place to start is the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest and most famous bridge over the Arno River, filled with shops and connecting the famous Uffizi museum to the old Medici Palace. Day 5: Florence Spend another day discovering Florence. Enjoy a walking tour with a local guide, take a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio, admire the spectacular Duomo Cathedral and be sure to enjoy some fine Italian cuisine before you leave the “Renaissance City”. Day 6: Florence - Rome Travel from Florence to Rome by train. Start using your Hop-on-Hop-off bus pass to travel around the city. Marvel at the ancient walls of the Colosseum, take in the dazzling views from the rooftop terrace of the Capitoline Museums and be sure to visit the famous Spanish steps before heading to the Piazza di Spagna for a spot of shopping. Day 7: Rome Spend a full day exploring Rome. Discover the wonders of the ‘Eternal City’ at your own pace, perhaps taking a trip to Vatican City to explore the museums and marvel at the ornate ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Come the evening, be sure to visit the Trevi Fountain to throw your coins - the architecture is quite spectacular when lit up at night. Day 8: Rome - UK Check out of your hotel and make your way to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

Days 1-2: UK - Cape Town Fly overnight to Cape Town. On arrival you’ll be met by a coach driver and transferred to your hotel in the city’s heart. Day 3: Cape Town Enjoy a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula today, beginning with a drive to the Cape of Good Hope, heading to Cape Point, at the continent’s most southwestern tip. Your tour continues to Boulders Bay, a pristine beach home to a colony of African penguins. Days 4-5: Cape Town Today, weather permitting, you’ll visit one of South Africa’s most familiar landmarks - Cape Town’s iconic Table Mountain. Take a cable car to the top of this remarkably flat-topped mountain, enjoying panoramic city views on the way up. The next day is at leisure to After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the station for your iconic journey to Pretoria on the Blue Train. As you board the train, a butler escorts you to your private cabin and provides an orientation tour as you begin your two day journey. further explore Cape Town. Day 6: Board the Blue Train

Day 1: UK - Paris - Geneva Your adventure begins in London’s St Pancras station, where you’ll board the Eurostar to Paris. Change onto a high-speed train and whiz through France towards Switzerland in just over three hours, all the while admiring the beautiful lake and mountain scenes out your window. Day 2: Geneva - Venice After breakfast, depart Geneva in the morning and travel to Venice on one of the most scenic routes in Europe, the Simplon Pass. Relax whilst the train follows the shores of Lake Leman and across Swiss vineyards, with stunning views of the Alps in the background. Travel further south after crossing the border into Italy before arriving in Venice. Day 3: Venice Enjoy a tasty breakfast at the hotel then join a short walking tour for some stories of the city’s labyrinthine streets and campos (squares), then enjoy a gondola ride down the Grand Canal.
