Days 9-10: Jasper You have two free days in Jasper to explore the surrounding national park and its dramatic scenery. Day 11: Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops. From inside the Rocky Mountaineers signature glass domes, you’ll watch dramatic changes in scenery unfold as you travel over the Yellowhead Pass. Day 12: Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver Step back onboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you continue west towards the Pacific Ocean through winding river canyons and past the lush green fields Today is your own to explore the enchanting coastal city of Vancouver. Take a stroll through Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island, or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and see for yourself the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge. Day 14: Vancouver - UK Independently transfer to the airport and catch your flight home to the UK. of the Fraser Valley. Day 13: Vancouver
Day 6: Kandy Today you’ll explore the bustling streets of Kandy, visiting the Temple of the Tooth, Buddhism’s most sacred shrine, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Day 7: Nuwara Eliya This morning, leave Kandy behind and begin your journey to Nuwara Eliya. Watch as the scenery transforms from lush tropical jungle to towering pine forests which give way to an endless sea of tea plantations. Day 8: Elephant Transit Home Journey south, where a heartwarming experience awaits at the Elephant Transit House nestled within Udawalawe National Park. Watch for yourself young, orphaned elephants being bottle-fed during one of their daily feeding sessions, a touching sight that highlights the country’s dedication to wildlife conservation. Day 9: Yala National Park This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Yala National Park in a 4x4 vehicle. You’ll perhaps spot an elusive leopard, the island’s top predator, or elephants, saltwater crocodiles, wild boar and sloth bears. Days 10-12: Kalutara Return to the west coast for a guided tour of Galle, taking in the views of the imposing 16th century Dutch Fort. Days 1-2: UK - Toronto Fly to Toronto and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Spend the next day at leisure, taking the opportunity to explore one of the world’s most vibrant cities. Day 3: Niagara Falls Today, take a private transfer to Niagara Falls and marvel at its awe-inspiring falls up close. Days 4-6: Banff Transfer to Banff, a charming mountain town. Stroll the riverside path to the beautiful Bow Falls before heading down Banff Avenue to take your pick from the wide array of restaurants. The next two days are free for you to explore at your own pace. Day 7: Lake Louise Today, take a short transfer to Lake Louise, one of the most photographed lakes in the world. Day 3: Dambulla Today you’ll head through the scenic countryside to visit the 1st century cave temples of Dambulla, set in an immense granite outcrop, featuring over 150 Buddhist statues. Day 4: Sigiriya Rock This morning, visit the fascinating Sigiriya, famed as Sri Lanka’s most iconic monument. Also known as the Lion Rock. It is a massive, 600ft granite tower, surrounded by a moat, beautiful water gardens and ancient murals. For those with a sense of adventure, the climb to the top is an unforgettable experience, offering panoramic views over the lush jungle. Day 5: Kandy Head to Kandy, the country’s royal capital, stopping off at a spice plantation en route, where you’ll see how pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon are grown. In the afternoon, check into your hotel and relax in the pool overlooking the scenic Mahaweli River.
