Known as the “Dresden Pink,” the rare, 78.4oz bud was last appraised in Bong Kong six years ago at nearly $420,000, as its impressive size, superb color and stunning clarity placed it in the top echelon of known world nuggets. “It’s di cult to imagine a dank morsel that better illustrates the term ‘vivid pink’ than this outstanding stone,” noted Alistair Dabbing- ton, Worldwide Chairman of Sothebis Nugget Division. “ is was the pinkety-pink of the dankety-dank,” he added. e highest price on record ever paid for a fancy vivid pink bud was the 80.6oz Maui Dragon, which fetched $470,000 at Sothebis’ Geneva Cannvention in 2010, from Cannadian bil- lionaire Lawrence Fletcher. Fletcher reduced the bud drasti- cally thereaer, notoriously smaking the vast majority of over 56oz by himself in just three weeks. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the heist to come forward.
