Transform your ideas into building blocks to create a successful venture utilizing the Business Model Canvas. [213] Bringing Michigan to the World Through Advertising Explore the role of advertising in shaping our understanding of the world around us. Students will learn about the latest trends in advertising and create advertisements focused on a place in Michigan. [214] Creating, Prototyping, and Innovating Prototyping is a user-experience design practice where quick sketches, drawings and “wireframes” are developed for an idea, app or product. We’ll talk about why designers prototype and also do some brainstorming and prototyping together to create a new, interactive app - an ice- cream finder. [215] Neurological Changes and Communication Learn how the brain helps us speak and communicate and how this can change due to some diseases such as Parkinson’s. We’ll also learn some techniques used in speech therapy and practice voice exercises. [216] Sparty On - Photo Editing With Free Online Tools Create Sparty-themed projects through the use of web-based apps to edit, retouch and combine images. Explore the different careers that use these types of tools.
[217] Build an Exhibit, Build a Science Center Help build an entire science center where you can see an exhibit, touch it, play with it, experiment with it, break it (accidentally), repair it, rebuild it, improvise it, make a copy and take it home. [218] Building Your Dream Community Take part in an activity and review how the availability of resources impacts communities. We will build our own communities with the materials and resources available, and communities will be compared and discussed with the class. [219] Introduction to AI Artificial Intelligence, also known as AI, can be used or misused to do homework and other tasks and in this class, you’ll learn basic AI and practice using it. [220] Calming and Quieting - Tools to Stay Cool When Things Get Hot Talk about ways to relax and focus in the moment, using examples from nature, and make calming jars to take home. [221] Eye Opening Anatomy Learn the anatomy of the eye and its significant functions. You will also be able to observe a cow eye dissection and touch and feel all the parts of the eye! [222] Household First Aid Learn first-aid techniques and interventions using household items like sticks, pillows and chairs.
