Energy & Carbon Appointments

Carbon and Energy Manager University of Nottingham

• UPP

Director of Energy and Sustainability

The University of Nottingham appointed MRG to recruit a Carbon and Energy Manager to lead on driving efficient energy management and decarbonisation across the University estate, with key aspects of the role being delivering energy-saving and carbon reduction projects. We identified over 100 potential candidates during our search phase of the campaign. Out of those who had applied 9 were longlisted and invited to attend an initial interview with MRG, following those, we then put forward 5 candidates for the University to review. During the shortlist meeting, it was decided that the University would invite 4 candidates to attend an interview on campus. Following a successful set of interviews, the University decided to appoint a candidate who came from a neighbouring University, and who also had demonstrated an excellent understanding of the energy and sustainability challenges facing UoN, and was described as a ‘rising star’ of the sector.
