Bachelor of Religious Education (BRE) Degree: Biblical Studies Major
Davis College’s undergraduate degree program provides a quality education with an emphasis on ministry preparedness. The sole major is Biblical Studies, and you can choose from the following seven concentrations:
• Christian Counseling • Christian Ministries
• Youth Ministries • Pastoral Studies • Intercultural Ministries • Organizational Leadership • Teaching English as a Second Language

7 CONCENTRATIONS
Christian Counseling This program prepares students to support their local church or parachurch organization through biblical counseling ministry, either in a staff or lay capacity. Christian Ministries This program provides flexibility for those seeking to be involved in various ministries. Students may choose an emphasis in general ministries, biblical languages, teacher preparation, production technology, or sports ministry. Youth Ministries This program equips students for effective young adult ministry in churches, camps, youth programs, and community service organizations. Pastoral Studies This program emphasizes Scripture, theology, and biblically balanced ministry to prepare students for pastoral leadership in the local church.
Intercultural Ministries This program provides both a general overview of cross-cultural missions and a specialization that will enable students to function effectively in the missions area of their choice. Organizational Leadership This program trains students for leadership and managerial roles within a variety of settings, whether in the church or society at large. Teaching English as a Second Language This program provides specialized training for students who wish to share their faith in the context of Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), either in the US or overseas.

Leadership Opportunities: Do you have the desire for meaningful leadership experience? After two years in the Bible Institute program, Davis College students are given additional consideration for supervisor positions in the dorms and around campus.
Spiritual Growth: As a Davis College student, you can continue to deepen your relationship with God through elements such as quiet time, dorm devotions, and chapels and conferences throughout the year.

Adjustable Schedule: You can adjust your Davis schedule to meet your individual needs, giving you the opportunity to seek off-campus employment, get plugged in to your local church, and grow deeper in community with your classmates.
Huskies Athletics: You will have the opportunity to participate in the Huskies Athletics program as a Davis College student. For more information on our competitive and engaging sports ministries, contact huskies@wol.org .
Meaningful Ministry: During each semester, you will coordinate with the ministries department to engage in at least 30 hours of ministry. We also offer a variety of volunteer options for those who want to be involved in even more Christ-centered service.
Being a part of Davis College after my two years at the BI was such a rewarding experience. I was given an RA position, and it was the highlight of my year to grow in a close community with my suite and a privilege to be able to speak into their lives. I was thankful to continue to get to know staff members and experience discipleship resulting in significant life change over the four years in this community. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the impact of Davis College.
