We have a trip up Montparnasse Tower with its panoramic views, a ride on the quirky Montmartre Funicular, a guided tour of this most romantic of cities and a unique view of the heart of Paris on a boat cruise.

The city of Reims has a special place in the history of France, and not just as the home of Champagne, although this is obviously their most famous export. We will experience everything the region has to offer, visiting two of the most famous cellars known around the world. We also spend time in Epernay, home to some of the finest Champagne houses. The Avenue du Champagne is often referred to as the most expensive avenue in the world, due to the amount of Champagne stored beneath it in cellars.

Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel. Day 2 Paris Guided City Tour & Montparnasse Tower
PACKAGED ITINERARY
This morning we begin with a 2 hour guided city tour , taking in many of its most famous sights. This is followed by visit to the Observation Deck of Montparnasse Tower . Whilst the Eiffel Tower is probably the city’s most famous icon, a trip to the top of Montparnasse Tower is highly recommended as if affords unparalleled views of both the Eiffel Tower and many other landmarks which we saw on our guided city tour. We have free time in the afternoon for independent sightseeing before returning to our hotel. Day 3 Montmartre & River Seine Cruise Today begins with a guided walking tour of Montmartre , part of the Right Bank and known for its artistic history. Next stop is the Montmartre Funicular . We are taken quickly and safely to the top of the well-known steps up to the Sacre Cœur. Opened in 1990, it takes less than 2 minutes, saving us precious time! We have the chance to admire this striking Basillica before finding a nice spot for a leisurely lunch. Next, we have the chance to see Paris from from the River Seine on a boat cruise. Sit back and relax as we glide along on our 1 hour cruise as the river and Paris unveil their secrets. Day 4 Departure After breakfast, we begin our journey home. INCLUSIONS
Day 1 Arrival We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 Reims Guided City Tour & Champagne Mumm
We start the day in Reims where we are joined by a local tour guide for a guided walking tour of the city. The highlight attraction is the Notre-Dame Cathedral, bigger than its more famous namesake in Paris, and where the Kings of France were crowned for over 1,000 years. Our guide will bring to life the city of Reims and all the fascinating history. After time for lunch, we will enjoy a visit to Champagne Mumm for a guided tour through its cellars. We will enjoy a tasting before returning to the hotel. Today we follow the ‘Champagne Route’ from Reims towards Epernay. We will have a short stop in Hautvillers, a typically French village famous as being the birthplace of Dom Perignon, before enjoying some free time in Epernay with time for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Avenue du Champagne, lined with impressive Champagne houses such as Moet & Chandon & Champagne Mercier. We enjoy a guided tour of Champagne Mercier by a train through their cellars followed by a tasting. Please note access to the cellars themselves are via stairs only. Day 3 Champagne Route, Epernay & Champagne Mercier
