Embrace the Season You’re Currently In LIFE IS FOREVER CHANGING!

Can you believe we are already at the halfway point of 2023? It’s mind-blowing to comprehend that time has flown by this quickly! Because we are entering the middle of the year, now is a great time to discuss change. You can never avoid change — it’s all around you! The time, weather, and seasons are constantly changing, and perhaps you had to make adjustments in your life as well. Maybe you are still pursuing your New Year’s resolutions; are you still on track? Or did you need to modify some goals? Did you recently

experience a life change? Ironically, the only thing in life that doesn’t change is the fact that everything around you, including yourself, will undergo changes at some point in time. If you ask someone how they view the concept of change, some people will say they despise it — and you may be one of them! As humans, we love remaining comfortable, stagnant, and constant. We like to know what to expect, when the event or circumstance will happen, and if we have enough time to prepare. But unfortunately, life

“Are you going to view change as a way for you to improve and enhance your skills? Or will you let the fear of change consume you? The choice is yours.”

values, I begin taking steps to help adjust to this incident so my actions toward the change can align with my beliefs.

I understand how frustrating it can be to make a plan, then have a change throw a wrench into everything you worked on. In the words of Mike Tyson: “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” But I promise things will be alright — adjust, adapt, and overcome any situation that stands in your way. We can’t control life; we can only live within it and roll with whatever is thrown at us. I know that the uncertainty of life can be intimidating. But instead of worrying about when change will happen, focus on enjoying life and embracing the season you’re currently in. The most exciting thing about life is that we are in control of what we make of it — so don’t let bumps in the road or changes to your plan hinder your experience. Embrace the change and strengthen your abilities! When change knocks on your front door, how do you typically respond to it? What strategies do you use to help you modify and adjust to these events? I would love to hear from you and bounce around various ideas!

won’t be as seamless as we envision and hope for it to be. And, if we continue to live a comfortable, unchanging life, how are we supposed to grow and improve? In every newsletter, I talk a lot about my goals, markers, and other methods that help me set a direction for my March to a Million. I also talk about the roadblocks and other obstacles in my path as I continue my pursuit. But I want you to know that change isn’t always negative — no matter how badly our brains want us to perceive it that way. The way you react and respond to change relies on your perspective. Are you going to view change as a way for you to improve and enhance your skills? Or will you let the fear of change consume you? The choice is yours. When change is thrown my way, I like to reflect and understand if it goes against my core beliefs and values. If it doesn’t, then I can view this change as an opportunity to enhance my skills and zero in on what I want to pursue. However, if the change goes against my

many other types of cases. One thing that most people don’t know about me is that I actually studied ancient history and anthropology before deciding to become a paralegal. I love archeology and even have a tattoo in hieroglyphics. What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is working on the vaccine act cases. It makes me feel good to be able to help an individual or their families be compensated for their injuries.

What do you do here at DuPont and Blumenstiel?

I started working here as a lead litigation paralegal in December 2022. My job is to complete intake paperwork for our clientele, supervise remote workers, and order all medical records that are needed for our cases. My typical workday consists of monitoring attorney Blumenstiel’s emails as well as my own and all our docketing emails. I also consistently check everyone’s calendars and case dockets to ensure that deadlines are properly met. What did you do before coming to work for us? I’ve worked at a few other large law firms in the Columbus area, and that experience has prepared me well for this position. I’ve handled personal injury, probate, estate, domestic litigation, and

2 tbsp honey 1/4 cup water
