When cell phone use interferes with the satisfactory performance of an employee's duties or disturbs others, the privilege of using a personal cell phone at work may be removed, and other disciplinary action, up to and including termination, may be imposed. The Company may provide cell phone allowances to employees in certain positions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. When cell phones are used for Company business, employees must comply with all Company policies governing conduct, including our policies prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and violence in the workplace. When using the cell phone in a public place, please remember to maintain the confidentiality of any private or confidential business information. As a courtesy to others, please shut cell phones off or place them on vibrate mode during meetings. Personal Electronic Devices The use of cell phones or any electronic device is restricted to break and lunch periods unless otherwise approved by management. 2.18 Expense Reimbursement Midwest Fastener Corp. will reimburse pre-approved expenses incurred by the employee for business purposes. It is the employee’s responsibility to get pre-approval for expenditures, document them within 30 days of the occurrence, and submit them to management for payment. Midwest will reimburse reasonable travel, lodging, and meal expenses incurred while performing Company-approved business. Examples of unreasonable requests would include but are not limited to meals or lodging within 45 minutes of the employee’s
Equipment/Postage
Excessive use of the copy machine(s) / printer(s) is prohibited.
Paid postage for personal correspondence is prohibited. A bin for outgoing mail is located at the reception desk in the front office. Excessive utilization of the Company’s UPS or USPS account is prohibited. An occasional personal package may be shipped using the Company account with the following stipulations: • It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure the shipment is appropriately packaged, sealed, and labeled. • The employee must obtain the tracking number and dollar amount from the Shipping Department. • The employee is responsible for reimbursing Midwest Fastener Corp. for the shipping costs, or any costs incurred for improper packaging and labeling. Reimbursements must be paid to the Accounting Department. Use of Company Equipment/Phones Personal use of the telephone is permitted for local calls only and should be limited to breaks and lunchtime. Calls must be limited to three minutes. If an emergency arises, permission must be given for telephone use during any other times. All incoming phone calls will be categorized as emergency or non-emergency. Emergency calls will be put through immediately: non-emergency calls will have a message taken and delivered promptly.
It is strictly prohibited to give out or use Midwest Fastener Corp.’s 1-800 number for personal reasons.
