MWF Employee Handbook

3.1 Pay Periods & Paydays Midwest Fastener Corp. employees are paid biweekly on Thursday. Each paycheck will include earnings for all work performed through the end of the previous payroll period, which ends on Saturday. In the event a regularly scheduled payday falls on a day off, such as a holiday, employees will receive pay on the first scheduled day of work following payday. Temporary agency employees will be paid under the terms of the employment agency. Holiday pay, vacation pay, and check retrieval procedures will also be mandated by the terms of the agency. 3.2 Overtime Nonexempt employees will be paid in accordance with federal and state law. Per state law, with some exceptions, the standard work week for employees should not exceed 40 hours per week. Should the Company find it necessary to employ an employee over this standard, overtime hours shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half times the regular rate of pay. All overtime work by non-exempt employees must be authorized in advance by their manager. Only hours worked will be used to calculate overtime pay.

3.3 Rest & Meal Periods All rest and meal periods will be in accordance with state law.

Nonexempt employees will be provided a rest break for every four-hour period of work. This time is counted and paid as time worked. Nonexempt employees scheduled to work more than a six-hour period will be provided with a meal period. 3.4 Time Cards Employees are required to keep an accurate and complete record of their attendance and hours worked. Timecards are official business records and may not be altered without the employee's supervisor's approval and may not be falsified in any way. Timekeeping Employees must accurately record the time they begin and end their work, as well as the beginning and ending time of each meal period. They should also record the beginning and end time of any split shift or departure from work for personal reasons. Altering, falsifying, or tampering with time records may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Record Keeping Midwest Fasteners Corp. maintains paid time off accrued and used. Employees are responsible for verifying their pay stubs to ensure the correct hours appear.
