MWF Employee Handbook

3.9 Resignation Employees who wish to resign from their position are required to provide written notice to their supervisor and Human Resources. The standard notice period is two weeks unless otherwise specified in an employment contract or agreement. Procedure for Resignation 1. Written Notice Employees must submit a formal resignation letter stating their intended last working day. 2. Exit Process Employees may be required to participate in an exit interview and complete any necessary offboarding tasks. 3. Return of Company Property All Company-owned equipment, access badges, documents, and other property must be returned before the last working day. 4. Final Pay & Benefits Employees will receive their final paycheck, including any unused PTO (if applicable), in accordance with state and Company policies. Information about benefits continuation, such as COBRA (if applicable), will be provided. Failure to provide proper notice or complete the exit process may affect rehire eligibility and PTO payout. The Company reserves the right to modify the resignation process based on business needs. If an employee resigns to join a competitor or if there is a potential conflict of interest, their supervisor or manager may require them to leave the Company immediately rather than work through the notice period. In such cases, the employee will receive two (2) weeks' notice pay (or the equivalent pay for the notice period provided if less than two weeks). This action is taken solely in the best interest of the Company and should not be interpreted as a reflection on the employee’s integrity. The Company reserves the right, at its discretion, to require an employee to depart immediately instead of completing the notice period.
